I had actually previously used this product before and did not have a good experience, but that was a long time ago and I thought I’d give it another try. I don’t know what it is in this product that is so extremely irritating to my scalp, but I simply cannot use it. I will say the conditioner is slightly less irritating than the shampoo but they’re extremely similar. It smells super sweet and amazing it’s probably my favorite scent of any hair care product I’ve used but there is some ingredient that does agree well with my scalp. No mineral oil, silicones, parabens, gluten, sulfated surfactants, synthetic dyes or ALES. It is for all hair types. You apply to wet hair, work through to the ends, wait 3-5 minutes and rinse. It is good for 18 months after opening and I do like how affordable and accessible this brand is. I really wanted to like this product but it simply does not work for me which is why I gave it only 2 stars which is mostly for the amazing scent.

I received these products for free from Influenster and Maui Moisture in exchange for my honest review. So the only good is it smells amazing, the packaging is cute, and it didn’t weigh down my hair. I have long curly hair but it’s not thick. Sadly these were a major fail for me. The shampoo seemed to knot my hair a TON and all 3 products (shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner) actually made my hair feel dry and not hydrating at all. I feel like the shampoo didn’t clean my scalp AT ALL and I even tried double shampooing and it didn’t help. The conditioner didn’t help with the knots at all and I lost a ton of hair trying to brush it. The leave in conditioner didn’t help at all either and I tried using a lot more too. I do think this could work for all hair types (my brother has very thick, tight curly hair and he used it) , but I did notice my hair shed a lot more and tangled after shampooing and drying. It seems like I can never get enough moisture from any of my products. I am always hesitant to try a new shampoo because it usually leaves my hair dry and feeling like straw. The scent of the shampoo was very light and fresh, I couldn’t place what it was exactly, but it is definitely a floral fresh smell. The shampoo lathered well, and rinsed clean. It didn’t leave my hair feeling Strahl like, or squeaky. I coupled it with the Conditioner and leaving along with styling products, and had fantastic results. My hair has always been super thin and frizzy. My friend has very long beautiful thick hair. So of course I asked her what shampoo she uses and she recommended this brand to me. At first I was very excited! The ingredients seemed nice, the bottle was fun, and the fragrance was wonderful. I washed my hair with this stuff for about a month and was obsessed with it, worked wonders. Until I noticed I was always pulling hair out of my brush. I then realized I would have hair EVERYWHERE, my bed, my car, the stairs, all over my boyfriend. I also noticed that my hair was snapping very easily. So I read a few reviews and noticed people were having similar issues. I immediately went home and threw the bottle out and started using Head Shoulders. I have used Maui shampoo and conditioner before and originally I was just trying to find the one I used to use for frizzy and unruly hair but I later realized it was not sold here at target. I went in person though and found this shampoo and conditioner and thought it was awesome. Like I said I used a different shampoo and conditioner from this brand but this one is amazing. I’ve noticed people saying it smells too strong but it only smells strong when you apply it when you rinse and dry your hair you barely smell it. I would recommend buying the same shampoo, it’s the same price and works amazing. My hair is kind of damaged but not severely. It also is completely straight and thick and I couldn’t find one for hair like that so I settled for this one.
