Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation 115 Ivory 30ml

I love everything about this foundation. It goes on easy, looks natural, and doesn’t break my skin out like every other foundation I’ve tried! I’ve been using this on my skin for many years. After doing some desperate research on what would work best on my overly sensitive skin and large pores I finally found my “FIT”. I’m in my late 40s and have cycled through so many different foundations that didn’t work so this was a real gift. I used to work as a Lancome beauty advisor so I had the opportunity to try all of their products. My shade was 305N in the Teint Idole Ultra Wear which is comparable to FIT 235. As you can tell by the empty bottle, I am a huge fan of this product!! I just recently started investing in more expensive makeup, however before, this was my go-to for so many years. It applies so smoothly, it’s a nice full coverage, and has a smooth finish. Doesn’t take long to blend either, and it has 40 shades! The only things I’d really like to see change are the packaging and its wear throughout the day. The outside packaging is simple and cute, however i’d prefer a pump on the inside as it can get messy. As for the wear, this applies super smoothly, however even with setting powder I can’t really touch my face too much throughout the day. Also it sweats off really easily. The manufacturer recommends applying this tone with your hands for a more natural coverage and with a brush for a denser finish. I’ve seen a lot of complaints online about how the tone doesn’t apply properly, doesn’t spread, hardens instantly, emphasizes pores, etc. So all this is due to incorrect application. When applied with your fingers, the tone seems to melt and distribute perfectly. My skin is already far from the ideal of an 18-year-old teenager; I have a lot of enlarged pores and wrinkles. So even for me, nothing falls through, streaks or hardens in spots.

I use it without primer, with concealer and powder from the same series Fit Me. Foundation does not emphasize dryness, and does not cause break out. Creamy products (bronzer or contouring) are well placed on it. The only problem I encountered was the longevity throughout the day. After ~5 hours, there is no more product on areas such as sinuses and chin. It does not cover the pores very much, so a primer should come into play here if you have enlarged pores. I buy it more than once, this is my second pack and it lasts for a long time. This foundation is my go-to for affordable everyday wear. If you have dark spots, sun spots, any sort of discoloration, this does such a good job covering it. Its a full coverage foundation for literally only $8. Ive tried a ton of different ones and this one does not leave my face feeling cakey or heavy. It feels very lightweight and breathable. I usually apply my makeup with a beauty blender and dab foundation onto my face with a slightly damp blender. If i have more uneven skin tone in one area i’ll just put a few extra drops of foundation in that area and go over it again but even doing another layer doesnt make me feel heavy at all!! This foundation is great! I was able to find my color easily on the Ulta Beauty app, and was pleasantly surprised how close to my skin this shade is. I got 125, nude beige. While wet it looks pretty yellow, but after letting it dry and contouring and using setting powder, it looks super close to my normal skin tone. I have rosacea on my cheeks and I think it covers the redness pretty well. It doesn't really hide pores, but my pores are huge due to the rosacea so I honestly don't expect it to fully fill mine in. If you have smaller pores than mine you're probably fine. It does hide my pores better than other foundations I've tried, so I'll give it that. Let me just say, OMG! I have never in all of my 51 years found a foundation or powder for that much that was the absolute perfect shade for my Casperesque skin tone. LolNot only is this the perfect shade but it is so velvety smooth. For the first time ever my skin looks flawless. This coming from someone with several blemishes as well as Lupus and other skin issues.It glides on smooth and is super easy to build up without looking cakey or like it was put on with a putty knife.It also left my rough skin soft. Bonus points for the matte finish. My combination skin was finally evened out.This will now be my number one go to foundation and I usually NEVER wear any makeup, especially foundation due to how it made my skin look worse after applying. The cap is pretty secure but I have a difficult time getting any product out of the bottle without spilling at least some of it all over my desk. It's survived in my makeup bag without exploding, which is good, but it is a constant fear. I don't like having to ketchup bottle tap on the back of it as I very carefully angle it so as not to drench my makeup sponge.
