It took me a while to pick a new steam cleaner. Our first one was a cheapy that didn't last too terribly long. It made a huge POP sound a it was no more. It was a good introductory tip toe into steam cleaning. I couldn't imagine cleaning without one now. I decided we should get a better one that can handle frequent use. Steam cleaning cuts down cleaning times on soooo many things it's essential when you've got kids and want to enjoy life hahahhaha. Went with this one because it stores nicely and comes with LOTS of accessories. I am hopeful it will last. If I run into any issues any time soon I will update my review.

This is a great steamer to have and can tackle almost anything. Kitchen, bathrooms, windows, floors, wheels, grills, etc... This is a bigger machine so it’s bulky and you’ve got a lot of hose and a decent cord that comes with it. It also comes with a bunch of attachments too so there is a variety of means to clean and disinfect your space. The attachment bag I feel should have had a better design, it’s wide and things would spill out easily vs had it been a longer bag with more depth. That’s only minor though... I keep my attachments in a tote in a utility closet so I can get them all together and better organized. I highly recommend this steamer. It will make your life so much easier.

Great Steamer but plan your usage

After researching for a relatively cheap steamer, this product kept coming up. It works excellent so far. The hose is just long enough for my use (car detailing) and the attachments are endless. The only downside for myself is and loss of 1 star is the 20 mins heat up time and you can't fill it without waiting for it to lose pressure first.

I am beyond impressed at it's capabilities and performance. OK, that aside. This McCullock is the real deal. I haven't never seen so much steam output in a non-commercial machine. This thing can CLEAN! clean, just to see how clean it can get :Quick I have used this to clean my tile floors, bathroom tile, sinks, tub, wood floors, cabinets, rugs, cast iron grill pans. Everything looks brand new! I used the circular scrubber to clean the grout of my tile floor. I don't have dirty floors as I clean them quite often, the dirt just poured off the grout without even much scrubbing.I then sealed the grout looks new!

Has merit, but does not do the job for which I specifically purchased it.

I purchased the steamer to clean grout. It had no effect on the grout. Totally useless. The little brush attachment was destroyed after one room of grout treatment. The wire brush held up, but did not clean the grout either. The steam tube and handle became very hot at one point. I had to stop work to let it cool for awhile. The extension wands seem a little weak for their purpose. The steam mop was nice, made the tile floors look very good. The effect in the shower was good, made a good impression there. That is all I have done so far with it.

Not great, buyer beware- verify main use with manufacturer before you buy

Expected to love it but am disappointed. Instructions to start it first time are not clear. No funnel, have to take water to tank, it burps up if dont pour very slowly. it takes a long time to heat up, really slows you down in middle of project. it quita with no notice them u start refill process again. there are no cleaning covers to absorb dirt. I called Mcculloch, they were very nice but told me this unit is not for upholstry, furniture, etc, it was for hard services, grills etc. it did ok job on my inside project but tried to clean grill with steam then the wire brush with steam, it did not clean grill tho steam was strong. Cons: I'm going to dock a star because the extension wand is flimsy and would break if you are really using it to scrub stuff. The wheels are irreverent to me, because the unit it so light. Cheap plastic on the handpiece will probably break with heavy use over time. You probably will not use it for small jobs, due to the set-up / put-away time, but that's true of any steamer. On the low setting you will get might get 120 min. of steam, however it's pretty weak on low. On high it's more like 30 min., but it's a good amount of steam and pressure. On car rims, or grills it makes far more sense to use a power washer. Remember this is not a vacuum, only a steamer so it's use cleaning carpets is going to be minimal, other than loosening up stains to be blotted out. The Good: Lightweight, anyone should able to maneuver. Very compact for easy storage, it won't take up much space. Relativity quick set-up, and heating time (about 10min.) The hose and power cord are the right length (not too short, not too long to get in the way.) I've used other handheld steamers before, inadequate pressure, short run time with constant refills, & bulky designs were always problems. The MC1385 with it's separate large tank & compact handpiece takes care of all these problems. I haven't had it long enough to speak about long-term durability. Word's Of Caution: Be careful using too much steam around latex paint - as I found out it can start to peel, check your flooring type can handle steam mopping. Other Uses: With the right attachments you could also use as clothing steamer or for wallpaper removal.

What happened to quality assurance!!

After spending many hours researching steam cleaners, I decided to get the McCulloch MC1385, and it arrived several days before scheduled, which was good. I was so excited to get it unboxed, which was very easy, I only had to install the handle and decide which of the many attachments I would try first. After pouring 64 oz of water in the machine, which was also easy, I was ready to get to work. I plugged in the machine, pushed the "on switch", and nothing! I tried 4 different electrical outlets, and still nothing. When I unplugged the unit, the plug was extremely HOT! First thing Monday morning I called McCulloch and relayed my experience with their machine. my machine died. .

I love this machine,powerful steam,lots of accessories to clean anything,o have never seen my bath and stainless kitchen sparkle. I use it all over my home, great for cleaning almost anything with powerful jet that melts dirt dust grime, grease, muck you name it just have lots of clean rags time. Now January 10 2021 my steamer seems to have died mere 6 months after purchase, I'm hearbroken. I need that machine to keep my home sparklingI steam my chandeliers ,mirrors and crystal lampsI hope I can access the 1 yr manufacturer's warrenty.
