Bought online after reading some forums about my injury. Needed support for patellar tendonitis.It provides decent support, however it lacks a bit in the coverage from my experience.For my injury, I opted for the larger knee strap which was a bit more restricting, however worked better for my purposes.

I am wearing my second pair. I used to wear these for hiking only but am wearing more often now, sometimes all day. They give me great relief from pain. The reason I am on my second pair is because the velcro wore out.I used to get them on a little crooked which caused itching. Now, I hold one end down and apply the velcro end between two fingers to help as a guide.I also use McDavid knee sleeves when resting to bring swelling down, when needed.

I purchased this product due to knee pain when doing squats and lunges. They were recommended to me by a friend and I haven't looked back. They are easy to put on, and comfortable to wear. I now have no more knee pain when squatting, lunging or running. Definitely worth the money ****

Really like the McDavid patella straps. However, confused about the decision to extend the strap with a really fragile fabric instead a more sturdy material. Already starting to lose their ability to grip the remainder of the strap. Know I'll be back using safety pins soon like I have to do with the older, all-velcro versions when they curl inwards and fall off in the street.
My son has found considerable pain relief from growing pains by wearing the Patella Knee Strap. I would recommend this product for this instance.
I highly recommend this product for great patella support. I was experiencing a lot of discomfort whilst walking and doing other physical activities. I now wear the patella knee strap and it provides so much support that I don't have to worry about my knee having that "catching" or "giving way" feeling any more. I can walk confidently. I won't go on walks etc without its support. It is great. I should point out that if you are allergic to rubber it may not be appropriate for you. Also it does tend to get sweaty after heavy activity so it isn't something you would wear all day every day.
These have worked really well in supporting my son's knees for day to day activities while he has growth pain in his patellas. It's meant we don't have to constantly strap his knees.They can be worn under trousers without showing.
Got this for my teenage daughter who plays high school sports (field hockey, basketball and lacrosse) all year round. She developed patellar tendinitis and this was recommended by her physical therapist. She now wears it all the time and is able to play again.
Have bought two sets of two (one for each knee) for my daughter in the last 18 months from Academy Sports and in both cases, the velcro loses its "stick" within a couple of months. The first time we resorted to duct taping them on. Need something that lasts longer. The second set we just gave up. Is there some kind of warranty?
Maybe my knees are bigger than most guys, but this strap is on the smaller side. Once I had strapped it on, the velcro rubbed the back of my knee. It was actually pretty painful. I used some duct tape to cover up the velcro and that seemed to fix the problem. No knee pain while running with it on. Lots of support and plenty of movement.
