I got this scan tool a while ago and it has saved me a lot of time and money. Although it isn't that sophisticated it can pull fault codes and a google search will set you in the right direction, once repaired it is easy enough to clear the codes. I have used it on e36 and e90 BMW as well as a VW Golf and Audi A4. More detailed instructions would probably help, but it isn't too hard to figure out, those who report it not working for them are either expecting too much or they don't understand how to use it. Good value.

I bought this as the engine light came on after doing an upper cylinder clean. I knew it could be a serious issue and didn’t want to spend hundreds of $$ just to get it reset at the mechanics. It’s pretty much plug and play and quite easily found the issue which was an over rich issue. No doubt this was from the upper cylinder cleaner.I reset the fault the car is chugging along quite nicely

Totally useless. Returned immediately for credit. Would not connect to common Japanese cars eg. 1998 Nissan Avenir and 2005 Toyota Wish.
I bought this to diagnose my daughters car because it went into limp mode but it keeps telling me no connection, followed instructions to the letter several times, supposed to work on pre 06 vehicles but wont recognise 03 pathfinder or my 04 patrol.
The product description states this OBD2 scanner is capable of gathering fault codes post vehicles built from 2000 onwards inclusive of European cars. I purchased and attempted to use it on a 2002 Mercedes and it failed in all aspects to even properly read from the port. I tried to return the item only to be told I couldn’t because it had been used. After some debate with the bloke at the counter I was able to show that the item wouldn’t have been opened if I’d known it would not do what it says. Be aware before purchasing this product may not do what it states it does
This product is good for a quick fix of minor faults and that’s about it. My engine lights stays on even when all faults have been fixed/cleared.
Has helped solve two issues. But didn’t pick up on the airbag light. Other than that was great and all issues solved and taken care of without the big mechanic bill.
I think it’s a basic unit, good for basic checks. I don’t like having to say more if I don’t want too.
Brought it to read DTCs on my 04 toyota avensis. But it wont communicate with the ECU. Although i plig it in to my land cruiser and it works fine
