I will be honest, as soon as I saw the shape of the bags I knew I would not be using them to freeze milk - only to temporarily store. I kept some in my wearable pump case so if I were out and needed somewhere to put the milk, I could use those. Then when I needed the milk, I’d pour the second tag to use the spout. These breast milk bags would not be able to make “brick bags” easily because of the curved shaped. If they curve part was eliminated, I’d love to use these bags for above reasons as well as actually freezing with them. I really liked being able to recycle them. I try to do my part in recycling and it made me feel better knowing I could recycle them as opposed to throwing them out.

I like to minimize my waste as much as possible!The only thing I'd change about these bags is the width of them. This also made it difficult to pour one-handed, which I’m often doing with my hungry baby in my arms.- Because the “2” tab for the pour spout doesn’t also have a ziplock close, you have to use the whole bag of milk or transfer the remainder to a new bag. Because of this, I would measure out one bottle’s worth to put in each bag, using more bags than the resealable ones without a pour spout.- I didn’t care for the inverted label. It was too small for me and the inversion wasn’t helpful.- The bags didn’t freeze as flat as I assumed they would.- Personally, I don’t use the measuring lines on storage bags because it’s difficult to get them to be accurate. I did not test that feature of this bag.Overall, I gave these 3 stars because they perform similarly to other storage bags I’ve used and have liked. I am getting used to the pour spout, but I would not buy them because of that feature. The spout might frustrate and disappoint users depending on their expectations. With the list of cons, though, I’ll stick with the other bags I’ve been using.

The Medela Easy Pour milk storage bags are easy to use, easy to pour and are recyclable! The milk bags are tall and rectangular, holding up to 7 ounces of milk. This is more storage volume than I have seen in other milk storage bags. The pull-tabs are numbered which makes it easy to understand how to unseal the bag for inputting milk and how to open the pour spout for dispensing milk. MoreThe Medela Easy Pour milk storage bags are easy to use, easy to pour and are recyclable! The milk bags are tall and rectangular, holding up to 7 ounces of milk. This is more storage volume than I have seen in other milk storage bags. The pull-tabs are numbered which makes it easy to understand how to unseal the bag for inputting milk and how to open the pour spout for dispensing milk. The bags do not reseal if you use the pouring spout, so that’s important to know when you are making bottles! The pour spout is large and helps to pour easily without spilling into bottles. The bags defrost in about 12 hours in the refrigerator as advertised. The quick defrost time makes it easy to pull out a bag in the evening and use it the next morning. The bags lay fairly flat in the freezer, however I wouldn’t say they lay any flatter than other bags I have used. I personally did not care about the inverted label, but it could be helpful if storing a lot of milk in the freezer. The label was a good texture for easily writing without smearing or smudging!Overall I really liked these milk storage bags. I would say they are better than others I have used - particularly because of the easy tear pour spout, non-smudge texture of the label, and ability to recycle the bags. I love these bags for storing my breastmilk in the freezer and then easily pouring straight from them into my baby’s bottles.My favorite thing about this bag is that it is very strong and structured, allowing me to hold the bag open with one hand while I pour my freshly pumped milk into it with my other hand with no spills. I also love the pour spout, which allows me to pour from the bag to a bottle with no spills. The tearaways being labeled “1” and “2” are helpful so I know exactly what to do without having to read any instructions. Saving a mom time is always helpful! These bags are also great for getting the air out before sealing for freezing. The best I have experienced in a breastmilk storage bag! I always felt like I had a good amount of air in there with other bags I have tried.While I do like how the bags look, they do not store the flattest in comparison to another brand I have used. I also do not love the inverted label but that is only because, once each bag is frozen, I then store it standing up in rows in the door shelves of my stand-up deep freezer, which means that the labels are upside down to me. This is not a big deal and would not cause me to purchase another bag instead - these are still my favorite due to the stability and the pour spout.I also love that I can recycle these bags as I am a big recycler and appreciate that aspect.I am very grateful to have received these bags as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
