[This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] I purchased the Medela milk storage bags when my bubba was about 1 week old. We were pumping using the Medela double pump, and the storage bags were amazing for storing my extra supply (particularly in the mornings when it was quite a lot more than needed). I was able to build up a nice stash of spare bags. The bags were super easy to use, label and date, pour the milk in, and then store in the freezer. It was great to have a supply stashed away in the freezer for emergencies and top ups. Definitely worth purchasing if you’re pumping. I loved that all of the Medela range was cohesive.

As a mom, I've found the Medela Breast Milk Storage Bags to be incredibly convenient and reliable. They are easy to use, with a secure seal that gives me peace of mind knowing my milk is safely stored. The design is sturdy, preventing leaks, and the bags stand upright, saving space in the freezer. The clear measurement markings are a big plus, making it simple to keep track of how much milk I'm storing. Overall, these bags have made my breastfeeding journey smoother and more organized. Highly recommended!

I am a big fan of these bags and I'll summarize why: 1) no tearing! I've used another popular brand of storage bags for several months until I started getting bags that had ripped while in the freezer. I don't beat up my bags or anything, but just through normal shuffling of things in the freezer the bags I had split at the bottom and I had leaks in my fridge when thawing out milk. This was tragic as it resulted in me losing several ounces of hard-earned milk!! The Medela bags are designed differently and the problems I was having with the old bags is impossible with the Medela bags due to the design (the bottom of the bag). So I'm happy. No tears or splitting bags here yet. 2) I think the plastic is more durable. It's kind of a harder or more dense feeling plastic ... MoreI am a big fan of these bags and I'll summarize why: 1) no tearing! The bag is still flexible enough to allow for easy storage and filling.

Not that I had problems with the other bags, its just that the Medela bags have a very leak tight zipper too.4) Easy to work with- despite some reviews, these are no more difficult to work with than other brands of bags I've used. The plastic is a little different, seems more dense, and feels different in your had compared to some of the other brands but I think this makes them more durable and less susceptible to ripping or getting holes in them while in a freezer. I have a french door fridge so my freezer is a big drawer at the bottom and things get piled on top of each other. I don't want a pizza box corner digging into my milk bag but if the plastic is durable enough, that is not a problem.

Fantastic, thick, seal well (double sealed), sterile, sealed before using, don't leak, defrost well and store in fridge well too. Love that they can be laid flat for freezing. So convenient to take them out, pop them in a jug of hot water and wait 5 mins for it to be warmed. Honestly so much faster to warm than milk stored in a bottle. Would highly recommend to any mama out there who is thinking of building a stash or keep a little in the fridge. Unsure if the measurements are exact because every container I used said I had more or less than the bag so either the bottles are wrong or the bags are.

Accurate measurements for Medela Hands Free Pump
5 August 2024

I originally used Lansinoh breastmilk bags because they were gifted to me. I didn’t mind them but they never read accurately and definitely weren’t strong enough to stand up like these. These by Medela are my new favorite! They measure accurately compared to my pump readings for the Medela Hands Free Pump In Style. The fact they actually stand up once you pour milk in is my FAVORITE part. I don’t have to worry about my milk spilling out as much now. The bags themselves also seem thicker and easy to label with more room to write as well. Highly recommend!

Good but could be better

The size of the packets were good. I liked the bag that contians all the packets that can be sealed also. The label was easy to write on. Packets can be stood up to pour and layed down for storage in freezer or fridge. Instructions were easy to follow. Packaging was a bit confusing though. On it it has an asterisk and an explanation like there was supposed to be information with an asterisk for clarification. It did on the website but not the package. I included a photo of this. What I didn’t think was very good was the opening, it didn’t seem to open very far and I had to put my fingers in to open all the way. So I didn’t feel like I could get the liquid right up to it for fear of the milk going through.

Horrible bags/not secure/oz inaccurate/bags small

I got 2 Medela pumps( one from insurance, one a gift). I accidentally got lansinoh bags the first time because and decided to get more so I had almost 600. Well I ran out yesterday and decided to get medela bags because I have their products. Safe to say I’m disappointed! Should’ve stuck with the lansinohs. The medela bags are hard and trying to pump directly into bag like I did with the lanisinohs was a horrible experience! Getting it in the bag was difficult and getting the tube into the pump was even worse! Then the bags don’t hold the oz they claim to! Then getting it out after pumping you’re wasting milk. Added water to one and dropped to see if it would hold like my lansinoh and it didn’t at all. I don’t feel the bags are secure at all! I want to return but I’ve already used two, but once I run out I’m definitely going back to lansinoh. I honestly don’t want to wait I’m so tempted to just go get the bag so iI can let these go.

I wanted to love these

I recieved the Medela Easy Pour, Disposable Breast Milk Storage Bags 100ct as part of the Stellar Product Testing panel for my review. I really wanted to love these, the concept is amazing. I love the fact they are able to be recycled, have an easy pour spout, however there are a few major things that hold me back. They are much wider due to the spout so if you try to "brick" your milk in gallon bags it doesn't fit as well as the regular size bags. The writing area didn't provide enough space for me, especially taking it places. I couldn't write full name, date, time and ounces in the single line space. I did like that it was at the edge the "wrong" way made it easy to see. Pouring wasn't as easy as I'd hope either trying to get the last few drops almost always made ... MoreI recieved the Medela Easy Pour, Disposable Breast Milk Storage Bags 100ct as part of the Stellar Product Testing panel for my review. It's good... But...

I feel indifferent about these storage bags. The pen I wrote with, smudged on the text-panel (which is also written upside down - assuming for freezer storage reasons?) The text panel isn't written with very dark text, so it's a bit hard to read, especially in the dark. The zip-lock top is also quite a small opening, especially when trying to pour milk in, straight from the pump. And if you use the easy-pour tear-tab when you don't need to use the full amount of milk, you waste the bag/leave the milk exposed because you can't reseal it. The easy-pour idea is great and a nice height on the bag. The zip-lock is also nice and secure. The self-standing bags are also a good feature. Would I buy again? I guess - Only if they were on a decent sale. Would I pay full price, ... MoreI feel indifferent about these storage bags.
