My baby got this as a gift when he was around 9 or 10 months old. He couldn't quite stack, but he LOVED to unstack. He also pretty much always had one of the blocks in his hand. He loves to clap the blocks together and knock them on other objects. So, before he could even do the sorting and stacking, this toy gave lots of entertainment. Now he knows how to stack and spin the blocks around the pegs. He learned "on" and "off" and is beginning to understand the colors. I'm looking forward to all the other ways he'll play with this toy in the future!

Melissa and Doug kids educational toys are one of my favorite brands to purchase for my grandson.He's 14 months old, a little too young for this toy but he is still able to pull shapes out and he tries to put them back.Very colorful and interesting for him.

I bought this for my now 21 month old son when he was 18 months old. At first he just enjoyed stack them randomly but now he actually sorts them by color on each peg. This is one of his favorite toys by far!
I bought this for my soon-to-be 2 year old grandson, thinking it wouldn’t be very “exciting”, but helpful with sorting, counting and colors. I was pleasantly surprised to watch him absorbed with it time and time again! He loves it and the feeling of accomplishment when he completes it!
This is a beautifully designed learning toy! It provides experiences with many skills, including matching by color and by shape, counting and matching number to set, building eye- hand coordination, problem-solving, language development, turn-taking, and FUN! This is a toy that a child can enjoy over time, as she is learning new concepts. Fantastic - a great investment!
This was a birthday gift...and a big hit. Not only did the "Birthday Girl" enjoy it, but after INSISTING on playing with it at the party, her young cousins and friends (all age 2 to almost 5) also couldn't resist on "helping" her a bit. I'm pleased to report a good time was had by all, including all the adults watching in amazement as everyone played well together!
This was another gift for our 2 yr. old grandson. As soon as his Mom opened it, he wanted to play with it right away! He's having so much fun with it! Again, the workmanship is great and the price is affordable too.
This is so multi functional. We are using it to teach colors, shapes, matching and counting. Quality of the toy is very good, high quality painted wood.
