The Rush Pro 4.0 Clay upgrades dynamic court movement thanks to a pair of innovations in the midsole and outsole. An evolution of the Rush Pro 3.5 chassis construction, 4D Support Chassis 2.0 splits the chassis into two pieces for a dual purpose: one piece runs under the foot for enhanced support and forward propulsion, while the other runs laterally for additional stability and control. In the forefoot of the midsole, Energy Cell features a lightweight EVA foam designed to optimize the transfer of body weight through impact for more explosive propulsion. Layer in a sleek silhouette, and the result is a shoe that takes the popular Rush Pro franchise to all-new heights for both design and performance.

I had bad plantar fasciitis for many years. No tennis show worked. I tried top of line Nike, Asics, K-Swiss, but it wasn’t until started wearing this Wilson shoe that my plantar fasciitus stopped nagging me on the court. I used to struggle getting out of bed in the morning the pain was so bad, but not anymore. These shoes are amazing. They breath incredibly well too. I play daily in South Florida and these shoes don’t get soaked like my previous shoes. I move better on the court with these shoes too as I have no pain or fear of pain. I don’t find them heavy at all. Primarily, because they don’t get soaked with sweat like other shoes. One weird thing about these shoes, I wear 8 in the hard court shoes and 7 1/2 in the clay version. My daughter is an elite junior and ... MoreI had bad plantar fasciitis for many years. We find them to be so much better than the other shoes available.

Wilson is the ONLY brand of tennis shoes I ever buy. And up to now, I was 100% satisfied. But these I have to said, disappointed me dearly. I don’t know if that’s the model, but now the same size that I’ve been using for years came a little bit bigger than usual. Although, the size difference is just a bit, you can feel it on the court. Don’t wanna sound dramatic but screwing up a shoe like Wilson, is tragic. I didn’t return em cause I wore them once and I think it’s dishonest retuning a used item, but in the future I’ll think twice before buying Wilson shoes. It’s a real problem. Other than that, the design looks good. But can help it to feel dissatisfied about the size.

I’m a little bit disappointed that with the last two Wilson shoes i have bought they seem a half size smaller. That may seem insignificant to some, but for me it means i can no longer wear thick socks while playing tennis. It means they have to be relegated to walking shoes. My foot size has not changed since other shoes with my same traditional size (14) remain well fitting. What’s going on, Wilson? The message here is “Buyer, beware.” The shoes run smaller than advertised or than they used to be. Finally, reviewers are forced to grade a brand new purchase on durability, which makes no sense, hence, the rating of 3.

I’ve been using the Rush Pro 4.0 since the late spring and can easily say this is one of the best shows I’ve ever played in. From a fit standpoint, the 4.0 is slightly roomier in the toe box than the 3.5 making it easier and more comfortable to drive out of the toes and balls of the feet. The shoe locks the heel in place very well feeling extremely stable when making aggressive movements. The sole feels way better on this version that the previous one. I move pretty aggressively sliding on hard courts. This shoe really compliments my movement making he feel like I’m in complete control. I’m also blown away by how much longer the sole lasts than the 3.5 and 3.0. All in all, the 4.0 is easily the best shoe I’ve played in in years!
I have been wearing Rush Pro for many years and I feel confident that my feet are secure,I played with them for years on the tennis court, now it's pickleball almost every day.Occasionally, with other shoes my ankle would twist, but never with the Rush Pro.The soles generally don't last through the 6-month warranty period, but Wilson always honors their warranty with no hassle. I recommend the Rush Pro all the time. Many players have come back to me and thanked me for the recommendation.
My daughter and I are seasoned tennis players. I’m 57 and she is 12. We have tried every tennis shoe and it stops with Wilson. We just trained for 5 hours straight and feel great. I have plantar fasciitas so most shoes do not work. These are amazing! Life changing. My foot is a bit wide and these shoes give me enough space in the toe too. I loved my Asics Revolution, but these are better. We only wear Wilson shoes now.
I have enjoyed 3.5 version. And was expecting at least the same from 4.0. When I put those on , it felt great- feeling of a great compression due to new lace design. However after playing for 2-3 matches I have noticed that my feet was moving inside a shoes - felt slippery inside shoes, even with cotton sock. With more synthetic sock is was sliding side to side (almost rotating on a feet). Even more tightening of laces didn’t help. Material used inside is synthetic and very slippery. EVEN BIGGER PROBLEM is the shoe SOLE. Wilson went overboard with making it even thicker I think. shoes feel heavy. they squeak a lot . MAJOR SOLE SURFACE DESIGN FLAW. They slide due to changed design of the sole surface. I’m a middle of the match I switched to my old 3.5 and I felt ... MoreI have enjoyed 3.5 version. And was expecting at least the same from 4.0. I was able to switch direction of my movements much faster and without sliding. These shoes are ok for the beginners , who doesn’t run much. But if you are at least 3.0+ , and toys actually run- AVOID SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY FOR PIECE OF RUBBER.
I was gifted the Rush Pro 4.0, coming from using the Kaos Swift. After testing them out, I’ve decided to switch over for a few reasons. First, it was immediately comfortable to me (I have wide feet) without a need to break them in. It felt stable and durable, so I know it will last me. It didn’t feel too heavy, although they are heavier than my Kaos Swift. Lastly, the mesh materials on top made it breathable. All in all, I’m glad I tried it and hope others give it a chance. You might be surprised how well they work!
I’ve been wearing the Rush Pro 4.0 for a little less than a month now and I have to say they’re just OK. They’re a little too roomy and I don’t have narrow feet. Comparing them with the Wilson Kaos that I absolutely love, they’re not as supportive or as cushioned. Maybe a half size smaller would have fixed the roominess issue.Spend a couple extra dollars and get the Kaos if you want a Wilson tennis shoe. With that being said, the soles appear to be very durable so far and the shoes are well made. Just not the right fit for me and my feet.
This is the first pair of Wilson’s I’ve ever tried. I’ve been a Nike guy my entire life, but have been frustrated with how quickly I burn through shoes. Sometimes I burn through a pair in 2 weeks.I decided to try these because they have reinforcement in all the places I rip holes: on the toe and on the inside of the foot.I’ve worn them for two sessions and they definitely run bigger than Nikes. Would recommend getting a half size down if you’re a Nike person.I also noticed they were very heavy and I didn’t feel as fast as I’m used to feeling. It felt like I was playing in clown shoes. I wish I could return these, but I don’t want to hurt the small local business I purchased them from.
