Amazing shoe from an amazing brand

I seldom write a review of a product, but these shoes changed it for me. I moved away from Nikes after some knee injuries thinking maybe it was my shoes, so when I dipped my toes back in I had reservations. I was a long time cross country and track runner who averaged 12 miles a day, so running has always been a part of my life.I recently came back to running and I have no regrets about coming back to Nike. From the Alphafly to this shoe, I am extremely impressed. There is a right amount of comfort without sacrificing responsiveness, and the carbon plate really makes pushing tempo runs all the more fun. I have done long runs, tempo, 5k races, etc. that have allowed me to find the right groove in these and they feel like they can do it all. I would highly recommend ... MoreI seldom write a review of a product, but these shoes changed it for me. I’ve rued the day Nike discontinued the ZoomFly 3’s — they were the most comfortable and durable running shoes. I have the 4’s and 5’s but felt like they completely lost the plot with how their soles felt. I ordered these as one final chance to this line and the 6’s have made me fall in love all over again. You feel like you’re running on air— I’m able to extend my runs and not experience any aches and pains in my joints afterwards. A note to Nike: Do not get rid of these or when you decide to launch the 7’s down the road— don’t deviate too much from what you’ve produced here. 10/10.

Just finished putting at least 400 miles on the zoom fly 5s. No telling how much exactly because I didn't track everything but I really enjoyed them and just got these fly 6s today and went for a 6 miler. They felt good out the box and I think I broke them in by the end of the run. I was running a good pace on fatigued feet and legs ( ran 11 miles this am) and it felt effortless. I wanted to keep going but I kept it semi light for the first test run. I think I like these better than the 5s and I loved them. I usually do at least 5-6 days a week around 7 miles a day. They work for easy runs and hard runs. These feel like they will do the same and are lighter but I still feel like I'm getting the same support which was my main concern. I think these will be my go to. ... MoreJust finished putting at least 400 miles on the zoom fly 5s. Glad to have switch to y'all from brooks. I get way more milage a shoe.

Great shoe, just slightly disappointed
29 December 2024

I put in a good amount of miles in the new Nike Zoom Fly 6 and although they are a great shoe, I couldn't find myself loving it. The last zoom fly shoe I owned were the 1st Zoom Flys and I felt like those were the most perfect running shoe for me. When I found out that the new Zoom Fly 6 had a full carbon fiber plate, I was extremely excited and couldn't wait to purchase the shoe. I personally feel like ZoomX cushioning is too plush and I felt like I was sinking too much into the shoe that I couldn't feel a "spring" from the carbon plate. Personal opinion aside, it's a great shoe for the tech you'll be receiving the price point where it's at. There is little to no breaking period needed for the shoe. At the end of each run, my feet felt great, they weren't hurting.

Great shoes, poor manufacturing
26 December 2024

As a long-time fan of the zoom fly line, I had high hopes for the Zoom Fly 6, given its reputation for performance and comfort. However, I was left disappointed by the lack of attention to detail in the manufacturing process. The shoe’s color design, which looks great in photos, wasn’t implemented seamlessly in person.I purchased three pairs, hoping the inconsistency was a one-off, but all of them had the same issue. The mismatched and uneven application of color made the shoes feel unfinished. Unfortunately, I had to return all three pairs, which was frustrating given the effort I made to give them another chance. While the performance aspects of the shoe are solid, this lack of quality control overshadowed the experience for me. Nike, I know profits need to be ... MoreAs a long-time fan of the zoom fly line, I had high hopes for the Zoom Fly 6, given its reputation for performance and comfort. Hands down best shoes for surgical recovery, etc.
23 December 2024

Hopefully this review helps someone like myself who’s had major surgery and needs the best supportive shoe to help with recovery! This is the one! These shoes feel amazing going for a run or walk. I haven’t ran outside in years due to a bone disease I’ve suffered in my hip. I’m also flat footed and a bit wide footed as well and these shoes are perfect for myself. I also have a lot back issues as well when I’m on my feet but these shoes eliminate this problem!! I cannot get enough of them! I’m so glad I made this purchase. Don’t wait until they sell out! Well worth the money!!

More versatile than the Zoom Tempo Next as a daily trainer to pair with the Alphafly 3!
7 November 2024

Just got the Zoom Fly 6 today in the white/black colorway from Japan. I've been eagerly but anxiously awaiting the ZF6 release since I've been using two pairs of Zoom Tempo Nexts as my daily training shoes for all types of runs and they were getting pretty tired. I was hoping the ZF6 would be a bit more of a comfortable daily trainer, especially at slower paces, but still be a a great companion shoe to my Alphafly 3 racers. I took the ZF6s for a 6 miler tonight with negative splits down into the 7 minute mile range and they felt exactly like I hoped they would: a bit more comfy/roomy, slightly less racy, but still with great cushioning and pop like my Alphafly 3s. Presumably the ZF6s will be more durable as trainers. They fit true to size, although definitely more ... MoreJust got the Zoom Fly 6 today in the white/black colorway from Japan. Presumably the ZF6s will be more durable as trainers. They fit true to size, although definitely more room in the toe box than the Alphafly 3s and Tempo Nexts, which both have a very similar sock-like upper and fit. Still, no issues at all with the tongue sliding around or getting good lockdown. No hotspots at all, even right out of the box, like the Tempo Nexts. The Alphafly 3s actually have a nasty hotspot for me on both feet at the front of the arch. Overall, I'm thrilled with the ZF6 as my new more versatile daily trainer. I am a heel striker, averaging 25 miles a week, slow but trying to get faster for half marathon.

My Favorite Training Shoe of 2024
14 December 2024

The Nike Zoomfly 6 has been my favorite training shoe from Nike this year. The lacing system and upper are perfectly dialed in, providing exceptional comfort. The midsole foam combination of ZoomX and SR-02 works seamlessly. While ZoomX isn’t Nike’s top-tier formulation, it is impressively soft and responsive. The SR-02, an older Nike innovation, adds reliable stability on landing. Sandwiched between these two layers is Nike’s Flyplate—a carbon fiber plate that delivers rigidity and enhances push-off.The rubber outsole provided excellent grip, even in wet, snowy Western New York winter weather. Bravo, Nike!I’ve loved running in these shoes and can’t wait to purchase another pair to add to my rotation!

The Holy Grail!
3 January 2025

I’ve stayed loyal to the Zoom Fly series and ran in the Zoom Fly 3’s, 4’s, 5’s & now 6’s over the years. The 6 combines the best features of all of the previous ones. The foam soul and carbon plate offer the perfect mix of cushion & responsiveness. There’s rubber pads on the bottom soul which seems more durable than foam, which can break down over time. The thin, sock-like material returned, which lacked in the 5’s - this is breathable and limits rubbing/blisters.The Zoom Fly 6 also went back to the smaller heal print which offers more agility, but slightly less support.Overall, this is my favorite pair of ZF’s. I thought Nike missed their mark on the 5’s but they redeemed themselves with the Zoom Fly 6. Have only ran ~20 miles in them but they feel great.

Zoom fly 6 for the win
4 December 2024

I've had 3 pairs of the zoom fly 5's and when these came out I had to give them a try. I would say they feel softer and more responsive than the 5's. I am more of a heel to mid foot striker and I feel like with these shoes I'm landing more mid foot and have a better overall feel. The zoom fly 6's give me the zoomies like my Husky and allow me to run as fast as he does. No more him pulling me when we run, now I can keep up at an equal pace! Highly recommend if you want to crush a speed/tempo/ threshold/5-10k run. Or just put every other dad on the block to shame!
