I must say the durability of this product has improved. The casing is much better and smaller. They don't include the Keychain ring in this which is a down side. The remote buttons are really easy to press. I find myself pressing it accidentally alot. I get worried if it might leave the garage door open. Other than that the product is much better then the previous bulky one.

This remote replaces my Merlin M802 remote which kept draining the batteries and just didn't do what it was supposed to do. This new compact & light remote can be carried on my keys and is small enough to be placed in my pockets. It works every time and from a fair distance away from my garage door. Perfect replacement for the aging Merlin M802 remote.

My last remote died after 20 years so I bought another remote exactly the same as the last one. It's a good size - not easy to lose. Very easy to use and simple to program - especially for non tech savvy people like me. No hesitation recommending this product.

Unlike cloning or learning remotes, this one is replacement to the M802 Blue Merlin remote; Upon receiving it, I unscrewed the back, matched the dip switches to the switches in the actual motor and voil, done with no hassle.
Great product. Worked exactly as described. Very easy to setup. Just make sure you have a very fine/thin philips head screwdriver so the internal component can be accessed. This is where you will need to apply your code. Good news is only required once as battery can be accessed any time without having to unscrew anything. Very happy with the product and the service received. Should have done it long time ago as I really disliked the bulkier original remotes. One very happy customer. Would certainly recommend to other M802 remote owners.
This was a replacement unit Worked well at first setup Old one was 30 years old still working on second door set up Glad I bought the real replacement
Cheaper than the original unit but does the job just fine. Easy to setup. Considering buying more at a later date.
perfect replacement for the one I dropped and broke, now if only the clutchplate in the door mechanism hadnt stripped lol (new one ordered)
