This is my 3rd Meross smart garage door opener. The other two were purchased 3 years ago and still working perfectly. This one was installed in another property I own. It is very easy to install and set up. Especially like the function of overtime close: it automatically close the door after the door was opened too long (can be easily preset). Paid around $35 each for the earlier purchases, can't believe after many updated improvement, the price dropped to $17.99! A best buy for your money!

Instructions for this model are here: Search Reddit for SDO-2V2 ADV for installation instructions The MSG100 works perfectly, sends notifications and allows remote monitoring and control of my garage door via wifi. Far, far cheaper than the equivalent B&D smart garage door opener or motor. The Merosss app is really easy to set up and use.

This is my 2nd purchase of this model. First one lasted 16 months. Considering the cost, it roughly $2 per month. Ordered this replacement to use original wiring so setup was super fast and simple. Best of all this makes garage door working again. Just ordered a third one for spare as the price is much less than original one.
This little unit was very easy to set up, easy to install, and was exceptionally affordable! I can use my iPhone to open or close the door, I can see the state of the garage door, with her open her shop, wherever I am at. I also get notifications if the door is opened by someone. Great value!
I had high hopes for this device. I spent time testing it all out on a table, proofing the system. I was disappointed first and foremost about how it wasn't a first class device in Google home. How I had to say "hey Google, talk to smart Meross" then interact with the Meross voice control. That entire operation sucks hard. Then, after bench testing it, install testing it, and verifying all functionality, it just stopped working. I traced the failure back to the magnetic read switch (on the module end, the switch itself was fine) and it never worked again. Three hours wasted. I pulled it off, spent 15 minutes plugging in the Chamberlain smart GDO controller, and boom, worked fine ever since. So, instead of buying this, I recommend the Chamberlain MyQ device. I viewed it on youtube first. The product was as I had viewed, great price, great quality, easy to install and works as I wanted. I would recommend it.
Very easy to install, good integration with google home and cell phone use. Bought one for each of my garage doors, nice to get updates by test on opening so I know when the doors have been opened.

This will depend how far away your power socket(s) is. There are two wires to connect with your door opener, but it will have a simple panel to allow that. We added ours along with the wires for the existing door switch so it still works too. Device came with US style (2x straight pins) USB power plug, so we just used an Australian power to USB plug we had at home, no worries. I have problem with my built in wireless (Sears brand) specially in cold weather. No matter what remotes I used it doent work well in the cold. This unit is what I was looking for. It bypasses my built in wireless and just use Wifi and uses the hardware contact to operate the opener just like you press its switch on the wall. Have been using Wifi quite often now for both of my garage doors. Like it very much.
