These super comfortable and light weight shoes accompanied me to Ireland. I didn’t want heavy boots or shoes that would tire me out yet I needed something waterproof because obviously we would have rainy weather. These were much better than expected, we had super long days of walking miles and miles and I was in no pain at the end of the day. I used them for 8 days straight and zero complaints. Even my husband was surprised how light they were and that they did so well in rain, rocky terrain and light mud. These shoes will definitely be going on more adventures with me!!

When I first got the Agility Peak 5 Gor-tex shoes my expectations were pretty high considering the price tag and now after about a month of wearing them daily I can confidently say they are the most comfortable shoes i have ever worn. After about 12 hours my feet do start to hurt but that's not because of the shoes it's because I've been running all day long and I have never had a shoe be comfortable for that long. Wether you are running, Walking or hiking or just need to go place to place real quick I can't recommend these enough. They are perfect for whatever you are doing and definitely worth the money. I can't wait to see what they do for the Agility Peak 6 because I'll be buying those too!

I got the blue and orange version. I bought it because I ALWAYS own a pair of Gore-Tex shoes for commuting. I'm very picky with my footwear, and trying to find everything I want in a shoe for commuting is difficult. I want Gore-Tex, Vibram, lightweight & cushioned. These are amazing, I'd say likely the most cushioned shoes I've ever worn for everyday walking outside/trail walking. Usually those types of shoes I get foot fatigue in within about 2 hours, but not with these. (I mostly wear the Asics Nimbus shoe for working) These I love so much, I wound up buying a second pair. I HIGHLY recommend these!

Definitely lighter than the GTex model, with a pliable upper that hugs the foot nicely. Good heel hold with proper lacing. Appreciate the waterproof surround of the midsole. These took a few kms in the trails to soften up a bit, now? They're fast, agile, and responsive. I'd place these at *almost* ultra-level shoes. Grip is aggressive but not clumsy/catchy, sheds muck easily. Realy a great high-performance trail shoe with all the right stuff. Bought these to replace my (sadly now dead) Saucony Xodus-Ultra V.1, this years V.2 just didn't cut it. The Peak5 are *very* similar in all the right ways and then some; not as light, or soft hitting, but they make up for it in feeling super solid underfoot and balanced.
Heading into PNW winter, needed something that could handle wet AND cold. Shoes felt a bit stiff for first km on trail, but have since worked in nicely. Surprisingly nimble for a GoreTex shoe, not an Ultra given its weight, but definitely handles wet, slippery, tech, mud, rocky trails with confidence. Feet feel well supported, gusseted tongue hugs nicely, heel cup is solid and stable but comfortable. No rubbing, no hot-spots. Avg trail run anywhere between 5km to 15km. Using these on cold wet rainy days.
I was looking for a trail running shoe with solid outsole, rockplate, and good cushion. This fit the bill in spades. The foam is great, vibram mega grip is best in the business, and overall shoe construction was great. Loved the elastic loop on tongue to tuck laces under.Unfortunately the fit was off for me that I had to send back after just testing in the house. These seemed to fit a touch long compared to my pretty standard go to fit in 10.5. I have a wider/ more square toes and like room in the toe box- which i found to be plentiful. The main issue was the heel cup- which my foot was swimming and had a ton of movement- even with a runners lock with the lacing. I purchased the Agility Peak 5 GORE-TEX hiking shoes for my three month backpacking trip in Europe, Middle East and Asia. So far I’ve put in about 40 miles hiking through the Dolomites and am so, so pleased. Wide toe box is great especially for when your feet start swelling. I also cleaned them tonight and they dried within a couple of hours. My boyfriend got Nike Pegasus trail runners and the adhesive and traction on the bottom have already started to fall off! I could not be happier with my choice. I’ve also had Hoka hiking shoes and these are more comfortable with better grip.
I have been using Merrell trail shoes during the past 8 years.After I wore this pair during a though 100-miler race, I can say:Pros:-Lightweight (9.5 Oz in 8 US).-Cushion is fantastic. Its rock plate really helps.-Excellent grip, perfect for technical terrains.-Exterior is very protective. After 120 miles shoes look in a very good condition.Con:-It would be perfect if they were more confortable. Not bad after all (zero blisters during my race!).Agility Peak 5 was the right choice.
Ordered men's 9.5 medium width for female size 11. Black. Fits perfect. If you have a narrow foot, this can be tied up enough to work. It's hard to find a black shoe with a black sole which is why I purchased. Bought just for walking because I walk a lot and for working out. They are super light weight and breathable and have a great "grippy" sole with great traction for my workouts. The statement "fits like a glove" is true - making it a little harder to get into than most shoes. You really need to untie and loosen a lot to get your foot in - but once in - feels great and super stable with a good toe box for lots of movement but no crimping and not loose anywhere. Most comfortable shoe ever other than my Merrell hiking boots. My feet are happy in them which I can't say about any other athletic shoe. I'd give this a 5 if it had a stack height and heel to toe drop and heel crash pad - which is just my preference in shoes. Just as good as, and, in my opinion, better than that other popular "H" brand.
My Agility peak 4's have been a lifesaver- they accommodate my orthotic and helped me get moving again after toe surgery. No other Merrells have worked for me- usually due to ankle discomfort and tight toebox. I really wanted black for winter so was thrilled to see Agility peak 5 in black and waterproof. . But why oh why keep the name and dramatically change the shoe!! The heel now has a very course lining instead of smoothe- almost like a brillo pad so you have to wear thick socks. The toe box is now tighter. I was able to remove the insole and put in my own r own orthotic.
