Purchased these for travel and they have become my favorite daily wear shoes. Went to Portugal and Aruba this summer and took my usual four pairs of shoes- both trips the Hydro Mocs stayed on my feet and the others stayed in my suitcase!! Perfect for beach, driving (feet stay cool) and walking on ask types of surfaces. Love them so much that I’m afraid I’m going to wear them out so I’m buying a back up pair! This past week with all the rain they have been a great choice for puddles too! Water just flows through.

Got the hydromoc to trek the narrows in my swimwear. Was it a good idea? Hell yes!! the water sandals lived up to their hype. Grippy and overall pretty comfortable. The strap does slip over the lip sometimes and it caught the back side of my ankle enough times to actually bruise. This I feel can be improved... that and better sizing would make this unbeatable for any activity that needs waterproof shoes. I'll get these anyday over crocs. Looks awesome too.

Purchased these a few weeks ago because I’m a small boat sailing instructor and needed a closed toe shoe that I can submerge when beach launching. They run a little large so I purchased a 10 even though I typically wear a 10.5. They feel like real shoes, not poorly fitting clogs. But I have 2 complaints. The strap can be placed over your foot or around your heel. When around your heel, your foot will be slide slightly forward for a tighter fit, but it makes them much more difficult to put on. They are definitely not slip on shoes, even with the strap over your foot where it does very little. Second is particular to beach/water use. There aren’t any holes below the level of the sole. So water won’t drain fully on its own. There are also no holes at the toe or heel so ... MorePurchased these a few weeks ago because I’m a small boat sailing instructor and needed a closed toe shoe that I can submerge when beach launching. There are also no holes at the toe or heel so to drain the water while wearing, you need to bend your foot in an awkward way to get the water to drain from the gap behind the hing of the strap. That makes it nearly impossible to get the sand out without removing the shoe. Crocs have holes below the sole and drain both sand and water much better. But I find these more comfortable then Crocs and I can run in these (short distances) like I can in an athletic shoe. I work with a lot of people that have similar shoes and I’ve gotten some positive comments about how these shoes look, particularly with the strap behind the heel.

I wear these at the pool, to and from gym, on a road trip, in the water (of course), gardening, and on the roof. They grip well, protect my feet bottom and top, rinse off easily, dry quickly, slip on and off, provide good support, and are comfortable. One reviewer complained the sole wears out too fast- he must wear his all the time, too! In my experience the shoe has been a great value, uniquely able to serve so many applications. I bought 2 pair for myself and 2 for my wife.
Previously, I bought the original Hydro Moc and I LOVED them! This review is based only on the new BLOOM version. They are much stiffer than the original and after wearing them for a day began to actually create friction breakdown of my skin in certain places. I now have to wear socks to avoid this, which sort of defeats the purpose of the shoe. Sure, you can walk in the water with them with no impact on the shoe, but you have to walk around in wet socks! Unfortunately, I only discovered this skin breakdown problem after the return period had expired. Also, you should be aware that there is a good possibility that you will get different colors and color distribution then is pictured on the site and I have found my toes touch the front of the shoe, which never ... MorePreviously, I bought the original Hydro Moc and I LOVED them! The adjustable heel is good. The tread is good and aggressive for muddy conditions. The bad part is the slit in the front of the shoe allows the foot to slip in and out easy and the only thing securing your foot is a weak bungee cord. The front needs a solid material like the original hydro moc or a Bellot strap. Overall it’s ok but needs a design improvement. These shoes need to be tested before being released to the public and stop using paying consumers as a free product tester.
I recently ordered a new pair after having a pair gifted to me over 3 years ago. These shoes are durable, comfortable, and fit true to size. I have had them for over 3 years and can still wear them but they have little tread on them so slick surfaces are a hard no. At the time I received them, I had bad early onset arthritis in my left ankle; likely from a 20-year old injury that didn't heal properly. During the pandemic, I was almost always in my house wearing these shoes cause it was better than being barefoot or being constricted by a different shoe. The opening of the shoe was wide enough to allow me to wear a brace when I needed. I've worked beyond that arthritic pain and have been able to walk and hike comfortably again. The opening of the shoe was wide enough to allow me to wear a brace when I needed. I've worked beyond that arthritic pain and have been able to walk and hike comfortably again. It took a lot of stretching and strengthening but I would say these shoes were there every step of the way. When I wear them out, I get a lot of compliments on them. They aren't as crazy as Yeezy's or their many imitators, but not as simple as the Croc clog but somewhere in the middle. Fans of neither still liked these (or lied!) and the only ones who hated them were trypophobics. I like wearing them with socks usually but they can be worn without them. The material will make your feet sweat without socks but there is a large toe box and plenty of ventilation because, you know, big holes all over the shoe. They are great just about anywhere except the beach because sand will get trapped in the front and cannot be kicked out since there are no holes in the front. Still, I'd rather sit down and dump out sand than wear flip flops of any kind.So yeah, I really like the classic Hydro Mocs, and they have earned their place at my front door.
I can’t remember when I purchased (it doesn’t show up in my account purchase history) but it maybe 6 months ago or a little longer.Very comfortable but I always wear with socks since they are a little loose so I fear blisters and to keep my feet clean on trails. I usually wear a 10.5 so I sized down to 10. Maybe 9 could’ve worked but those are the perils of online shopping.I’ve worn the soles down pretty good in moderate walking, mostly on concrete:asphalt but they still have decent traction. Probably not the recommended use. My neighbor runs in his without socks and loves them.I’d buy another pair if I could try on a 9 first or try another newer version.
These Moc's are durable, stylish, and comfortable. I can wear this shoe all day without feeling any foot fatigue. This is my second pair, because I nearly wore out the bottom of my first pair. I needed a new pair for travel destination where there are many beaches. I prefer this Moc because I can continue from the beach to the city without changing shoes (just rinse and go...if you have too!). The many colors offered make them stylish to wear with my many polo shirt/short combinations. Once this pair wears out, I will be ordering my next pair.
