I donned my first pair of Jungle Mocs in Revelstoke June of 2000, and immediately disappeared into the backcountry for a week, where I lovingly wore them around camp for everything that didn't require lacing up the boots, and...These days, those original jungle mocs are lookin' pretty beat— they're fairly shredded and the soles are smoooth, and don't stray too far from home any more, but are enjoying their golden years as "around the property" footwear. But for many of their 20+ years of life they have handled some crazy $h!+ with an elegant and understated grace; they just don't LOOK as high-performance as they are.Now I've got a shiny new pair, aaaaand I'm disappearing into the backcountry...Legendary Jungle Mocs, Man. Gonna get 'em dirty and make some memories.

I have lived in Hamburg Germany, Melbourne Australia, and San Diego CA, I travel all over for work too. These shoes are great, I have purchased at least 4 pair in the past 6 years. Because they are slip on and off, they are easy when your hands are full, or they are muddy and gross. They are water proof.They even look ok enough to wear to a decent restaurant, although my wife thinks otherwise.The down side, they dont seem as grippy as would like on wet granite. They seem to kick up small pebbles from time to time, that then get into your shoe, but they are easy to get out since they slide on/off quickly.Overall a great shoe, and I will likely have another 5 if they keep making them.

I like the shoes. They were my dad’s shoes he bought so he could slip them on easily and be stable walking in them due to his physical condition. He past away so I was asked if I wanted his shoes. They were a little big for me but I have been wearing them over a year and they are great. I have had them in extreme cold and extreme hot and in the desert on rocks and trails. The tread is still good. They still are comfortable a little warm in the heat. The stitching on the top front expandable flex seam is starting to fray. There are no tears or rips, the material cleans off easily, and seam tone well built. They do get a little warm on a summer day inside the shoe. They look good I think when wearing jeans and casual dress, also in shorts. The bottom tread wraps ... MoreI like the shoes. I had been wearing some similar mocs from another company (initials LLB) for almost 20 years. They served me well, and I tried to replace them with the same company's current offering. But their sizing was all over the place, and I couldn't get a new pair that fit appropriately.But I'm glad I was able to find these mocs from Merrell. I should've known that Merrell would do them right. I've had other shoes from Merrell over the years and they've always been outstanding.These mocs could not fit any better, and as a guy with big / wide feet (12EEE or12EEEE) I have trouble finding comfortable shoes. That being the case, I have always found myself preferring to go shoeless around my house. It's for the fact that after buying 3 pairs over the years, Merrell has discontinued my shoe size (15 wide). And to make it more infuriating, they still offer my shoe size in their "medium" width, but cap the wide width out at a 13. I love Jungle Mocs and have bought likely a half dozen pairs. But I'm too frustrated with how badly the soles wear to buy a conventional set again, especially at how the prices have jumped substantially. I contacted Merrell to ask them to make an aftermarket sole available so I could have it replaced; they said no. So I have to junk some perfectly good shoes that could simply use a more durable sole. No longer, I'm buying something else. I asked a Mark's staffer in Prince George BC to pass this information along, and he basically said to post a review. Sad that store staff can't take feedback and pass it along.
I've only worn Merrells for the last 30 plus years and this is my second pair of Jungle Mocs which I wear as slippers around the house.Can't beat 'em!Last week a masseuse played with my feet for the first time ever, I'm 62yrs old, and was most complimentary about the shape, the arch and the condition of my feet. I mentioned that I only wear Merrells and she suggested they were a contributing factor to my lovely plates.Frames are brilliant! Great communication with on line sales and shoes are the best prices and mine were delivered overnight to Welly. I don't know how they do it?I bought another pair of Merrells from them just days after receiving my Jungle Mocs. I was so impressed.Just Brilliant!
I've had at least a dozen pairs of Jungle Moc over the years. I'm a big man that wears a size 14 and the fit has been consistently good from pair to pair. They are also the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn even though I have very high arches and some peripheral neuropathy. When one pair starts looking a little scruffy (it happens) I'll buy a new pair and use the old ones to cut the grass and work in the yard. I'm retired now and don't have to put on a coat and tie as often so the shoe I'll have on 90% of the time when I go out will be a pair of jungle mocs. I even wear them in "business casual" situations like service club meetings or casual dates. I first tried them when my brother recommended them and they are his favorite shoe too. I bought these specifically because we volunteered to be puppy raisers for the CNIB Guide Dog program. With an 8 week old puppy in the house I needed “quick response” shoes that I could slip on to get the puppy outside at all times if the day and night. These shoes are perfect for this as well as any casual outing. They are comfortable, they fit perfectly and are good looking. They are tough and even have survived the onslaught of needle like puppy teeth. Bombproof!!I’ve been a Merrell user for a very long time and have only had one issue with one style of shoe regarding the fit but other than that the brand is solid.
I didn't realize that these shoes have been all over the world. I bought these to help speed my way through TSA at the airports - easy off, easy on. On airplanes I can slip them off and on throughout the flights. We have been to Australia, Greece, Europe and China. Yes, these shoes are now old and worn but continue to carry on. At home I wear them as house shoes, so they don't get much wear outside. On trips they are worn basically to and from the airports then to destinations. I finally broke down and purchased a new pair after seeing an ad for these shoes at a great discount. The only addition to these shoes was a nice pair of insoles to help me stand for long periods of time waiting at the airports.
