Great shoe for wide feet with bunions! I can wear them all day working around the farm without ending the day with sore feet. They seem to be pretty robust as well. The only downer is the price.

Very happy with shoes. Need wide for my deepOrthotics and these fit well. Are waterproof which is a big deal in the country, and very comfortable. Purchased online and pick up in store ws really easy.
While I will not purchase the new Moab 3 GTX, I am a huge fan of the Moab 2 GTX. Why? The synthetic fabric shows no signs of wear after years of use. IMO, ALL Moab's should have synthetic fabric. Second, the new Moab 3 GTX is only available in one color and I need two colors (brown and grey). I will moving on to a new shoe as the new Moab 3 no longer meets my needs. My ratings below are based on the Moab 2 GTX.
These shoes are fantastic, Merrell is known as the best of the best and I can see why. Went for a hike and for the first time ever noticed a difference in my knees and ankles, very impressed and the wide fit is just sensational for my foot. I would keep an eye out for a good sale and cashback Anaconda always beats everyone on price.
10W for a heavy chap. Good traction, albeit only tested on paved streets, tiles, and gravel so far. My 28 x 11cm foot fits comfortably and shoes are decent in regard to cushioning. I may upgrade to my usual Superfeet insoles but the shoes are solidly built and I spend a solid 10-11 hours in them commuting and walking when wearing them and they cause zero pain and no break-in for these tired old plates of meat. Would recommend especially if you have a wide foot as they accommodate my Supination (or under-pronation) and stabilise my gait.
I recently purchased a pair of wide Moab 3 Gore-Tex hiking shoes. I've been hiking several times since I got them and they are very comfortable and were easy to break in. Toes/forefoot definitely have appropriate room. Material is strong and workmanship appears to be excellent quality. So far I'm very happy and I am looking forward to getting some good wear and tear on these shoes hiking.
These appear to be very nice shoes but they are extremely narrow. I have always worn medium width shoes so that is what I ordered. I could barley get my foot into these shoes. I didn't think that would be a problem. I would just exchange them for a wide. Wrong! The exchange page would not let my select a wide even though it is shown as available on the website. I had to pay return shipping and will have to reorder the shoes.
