When I shop for footwear I always bring my best and most comfortable pair of shoes/boots for comparison, and that's another pair of moab's from last year that still look and feel like new. After trying out the Moab adventure Chelsea boot my feet didn't want to go back into the old ones, this is how comfortable they are out of the box. With proper care they should last a long time like all my other Merrell's.

I liked the look of this boot, and had bought many MOAB hiking shoes before, so felt I would be safe to purchase online in my usual size. Boot turned out to be way too loose, with my heal coming apart from the sole with every step.I returned boots to Merrell (no problem, they returned my purchase price) and went to a Merrell store to try on the same boot in a 1/2 size smaller. Still too loose. Made me wonder if it was too big and loose for my big flat feet, who could wear this style of boot? Unfortunately in the end, I could not buy a Merrell boot that fitted comfortably.

Initial feel is that shoe feels good, fit is great, true to size. Needs a thicker sock for a snug fit. The shoe is not really warm if you are out in -30, in deep snow. This is a good shoe for up to -18/20. The grip is good on snow, not on slippery icy surfaces. While it claims to be waterproof, i felt my socks getting damp near the toe when walking in slushy ice.I got this at 50% off, its good value at the price. If i had bought this at full price, i would have returned it.
Warm, waterproof, comfortable, and easy to pull on and off. Just what I wanted in winter dog walking boots. Bought in the sale so a bargain too!
The boot is comfortable and easy to put on and comfortable. The only improvement would be a better isole that has better arch support.
Comfortable, warm and very good traction (tested today on the freezing rain of Montreal’s sidewalks).Accomodates my planter orthotics quite well.Wide fit - perfect.My suggestion for a possible design improvement: increase the size of the finger loops to make it easier to use them while wearing gloves.
I love these boots. When they wore out i bought another brand. Stopped wearing and bought another Merrell they are just more comfortable, the other boots sit in the closes
I wear these for work every day on a golf course. Great at keeping my feet dry. After a couple wears they feel like slippers. Most comfortable work boot I have found. Always went with Boggs but there is no comparison. solid soles if you have to dig. Merrill always makes a solid shoe.
These are really good boots. Very stylish but very functional. Extremely light weight which I didn't expect. They fit a bit on the large side. I normally take a 12W but in these I am an 11.5W
