This is my 3rd pair of these shoes over the last few years. I've found them to be very comfortable and pretty well made, lasting about 2 years a pair (with approx 300 miles walking a year). I had chance to compare them to Berghaus Fellmaster shoes recently and found the Berghaus to be lightweight and not very stiff in comparison, so I'm pleased I bought the MOABs again.

Comfortable Hiking Shoes

Wow. What a great pair of shoes. I wear these when I go hiking with my mother at our nature center. Sometimes, the trails are a bit muddy, but with the shoe, no worries. These shoes are very comfortable and absorbs some of the shocks to help my knees from hurting. 5 thumbs up if you are in the market for new hiking shoes!

Extremely Comfortable!

I’m a novice hiker and have found that many hiking shoes just don’t fit my foot comfortably enough to go on long hikes. I was pleasantly surprised when I put these on as they had more cushion than other brands I’ve tried. Additionally, I liked that I didn’t have to break these in. They fit my foot comfortably right out of the box. My foot feels stable in the shoe and it has excellent tread for different types of trails. These shoes are lightweight and breathable and I love that they’re made using recycled materials!

Great Hiking Shoe

I hike a lot in Arizona during the Spring and Summer time so these came just in time. I love the look of these shoes. They look nice and sleek. The feel is amazing too. After a few hours in the shoes I had no pain. The walk was still comfortable. The grip is perfect and the size is spot on too. These are great shoes for hiking or really any day.

Great shoe

I picked these out for my husband as we both love to hike. I wanted to get him something that he could wear when we go on shorter easier hikes and didn't want to wear his high tops. These have been a perfect fit. They fit great, have nice soles, great tread, and are just what he needed. We love Merrell products, they never let us down.

Merrell - MOAB 3, Hiking Shoes, Colour Black Night

These Merrell Hiking Shoes, Colour Black Night Are so comfortable I put them on, and from the time I put them on had comfort. These shoes have great support and are really true to size. I was looking for something that did not hurt my feet and that had comfort and I surely found them. These shoes are great walking and hiking shoes you will not be sorry if you get some of these.

NOT WATERPROOF

Lightweight and comfortable to wear in dry weather. Despite the product description the shoes are not waterproof. Pretty great

While wearing these I find that while walking in them for around the mile mark my feet start feeling really hot. For grip and walking in small stone they're really nice and make me feel really stable. The soles are comfortable and have nice padding. They're pretty nice after moving around more that's not on a flat surface. Walking on a flatter surface is where I noticed my feet feeling more warmer. They are pretty nice shoes though. Would I get them again? Yes. They work great and definitely great to use.

Shockingly lightweight yet durable

Merrell’s MOAB 3 hiking boots are almost unbelievably lightweight, but that doesn’t mean they are flimsy. Very well made, and loaded with thoughtful features: guide loops for the laces at the toe end and at the middle: the red M in the tongue is raised to make it easier to straighten the tongue: the uppers are very well ventilated: the loop at the heel makes it easier to tug on the boot: the lug soles are rugged yet flexible: I especially like the rubberized top eyelets because I believe they’ll protect the laces from premature wear: and the rubberized bumpers going up the back of the heel will protect from wear when driving, for example. My husband loves wearing them. He says they’ve put a spring in his step, and they are comfortable to wear all day long.

Wow, my feet feel amazing!

I am honestly so glad that I went ahead and purchased these hiking shoes! As an active hiker taking at least 10 hikes a month, I knew it was time to purchase new shoes as my previous shoes just couldn't keep up. After doing tons of research, all fingers pointed to the Merrell MOAB 3 hiking shoes. The reviews were not wrong! Not only are these shoes well made, they are extremely comfy and leave my feet and legs feeling like brand new. On top of that, the shoes look attractive vs. some of the other ones in the market so you never have to worry about not looking stylish!
