These are very comfortable even on the first wear. They have good ankle and arch support. So far they have proven to be waterproof and did well in the snow. I do wish the sizing was a little better. My toes hit the shoe toe on both the size 8 and 8.5 and I am definitely not a size 9. It hasnāt been a problem for me so far but it seems like the sizing is a little off.

Ordered, once received right shoe had a large bulk of fabric at the toe. Exchanged and sent another pair, this time the left shoe had a large piece of metal just below fabric in the left heel. Had to return. Love my Moab 2ās. Will attempt to buy when I can get my hands on them in store.

These are the third pair I've owned. I get a new pair about every 2-3 years because I wear them daily. I'm out in the field with dogs and over all sorts of terrain and they keep me going. Found out that I really needed a size 6 instead of a 7. Got measured wrong and so the first 2 pairs I had to add an orthotic. They still worked but the 6s are SO much better. I'm over 70 and still going strong with the help of Merrell. They are indestructible.

Love Merrill Moab hiking boots. I have been wearing them for 20 years. I have low top and mid. Recently got my first gore-Tex pair. Tested the waterproof Edās in some waterfalls and they were great. Feet nice and dry. No break in period needed for me. Love the wide toe box. I recommend them to everyone.
I got these boots as a Christmas gift. It's been cold, so I have only taken them out twice since then. They're already coming apart at the sole, and today both laces finally snapped in half (which made the hike back to my car rather miserable). I've never had an issue with Merrell before, and I've been buying hiking boots from them for over a decade now. But these are garbage. I'm extremely upset that my siblings paid so much for these. They've seen maybe 10 miles total and are in bad shape. I've done nothing different from how I normally hike. I've had Merrell boots go hundreds of miles before showing signs of wear. Not sure if the company has gone downhill or I just got a crappy pair, but it's bad enough that I'm considering switching to a different company for ...Ā MoreI got these boots as a Christmas gift. Not sure if the company has gone downhill or I just got a crappy pair, but it's bad enough that I'm considering switching to a different company for hiking boots. For comparison, my last boots lasted me from 2016 until fall 2022, when the sole started to give way, and I was hiking at least 5 miles a week (probably averaging closer to 8 miles a week) during those years. Only rating 2 stars because they are more comfortable than previous Merrell boots I've had. Just sucks that they haven't held up as long.
Best fit and comfort ever. I have super sensitive feet and a very bad back so it's tough to find a comfortable shoe. Merrell Moab have become my favorite, wear everywhere, do anything shoe. The Moab 3's are the best, most comfortable fit yet! The toebox is as comfy as any shoe I have worn.
These hybrid walking shoes look really nice on, they are light weight, compact and comfortable - no need to break in. But, in rainy or icy conditions they have no grip and I find them really slippery. For summer hikes in the dry they were fine, and also faired ok in muddle woodland. But on pavement-type surfaces in the wet they loose traction constantly and in the ice I was sliding all over the place - my wellies faired better!
These came in yesterday and I tried them out today. It was pouring rain. They were not waterproof at all. My feet were soaked all day. It was miserable. I have other Moabs, these must have been defective because my other boots were great. I am so bummed because they look great. I actually had water inside my boots not damp but water all by my toes.
Of COURSE SB curates a collection of the bestā¦after beating the price of the Merrell site (!) I ordered these from SB and they were here after about a week - not bad between continents, and with constant tracking updates. These boots have an overall, gentle rose gold effect while also remaining neutral, so maybe think of āaluminiumā as a warm grey. They will seriously go with everything. Except sequins š Cannot wait to test them out on the trails, yet so far are comfortable right out of the box.Iām a 38/39 in most shoes but sized up to 40 in these, as I do with runners. Perfect for a wide fit. Instep comes out to easily confirm right sizing. Perfect fit āļø
Purchased these and used them for the first time for exploring Carlsbad Caverns in NM and couldnāt be happier! Hiked over 6 miles in the caverns that day and absolutely no blisters or sore areas on my feet or ankles whatsoever! This is huge for me especially with new bootsā¦needed no breaking in time! Very happy and pleased with my purchaseā¦performed awesomely! It was cool in the caverns (50ās) but my feet stayed warm without sweatingā¦my feet and ankles were not even feeling tired at the end of the day! Thank you Merrell for creating a boot that is comfortable, tough & cool to look at too! Performance is key but I wanted a boot that was stylish as well and I think you achieved that! šš» I purchased the red, tan & black color! Love them!
