Shoes are comfortable and fit well. Shipping was fast and they arrived more quickly than estimated. I didn't drop the score because of this as maybe it is known in the hiking shoe circles, but these shoes are terrible on ice. I am sure the sole will have a long life shredding trails, but it provides no traction on ice and is actually worse than my old runners with the tread worn off.

I have my shoes for about a year. I have had several Merrell's in the past. I usually love their shoes. But I am quite disappointed with this pair. I found them very slippery on wet surfaces, and not just ice. But water too. I find that the mesh goes down too far and if I step into a puddle my feet get wet. Overall, I am not very happy with these shoes.

These are by far the best sneakers I own. They are comfortable with good arch support, sufficiently wide width and really beautiful. I have wide feet and I have always envied the stylish sneakers that people with regular widths wear. No more!!! I now have stylish and super comfortable sneakers.

Shoes are comfortable and fit well. Shipping was fast and they arrived more quickly than estimated. Bought Women's Moab 3 Mid Wide width Waterproof. They're mostly really great but are definitely 100% NOT WATERPROOF and should not be advertised as such. It's an important feature to me and when looking at their construction I wondered how they could be but took the company at their word. On the positive side the boots are a great fit overall
I actually have narrow/medium width feet but like the wiggle room of the wides and Moabs have firmly fitting heals. I've had a pair of size 6 Moab 2 Wide for a couple of years. They fit really great except I think that they are not cushioned enough. I was really excited to read the previews for the new Moab 3 which were suppose to be more cushioned which they are. However the Moab 3 arch supports do not hit my arches in the same place as the Moab 2 that caused discomfort. It did not seem with heavier hiking socks that the volume was the same or perhaps more cushioning took up some of the volume. So sadly and disappointedly I returned them. I will wait until if and when they are more available in the stores and try some other sizes, maybe a 6.5 medium width.
These are pretty nice shoes, but I noticed threads coming loose and the mesh material fraying after only a handful of wears. Hopefully it does not become a structural issue and only affects the appearance.Also I feel that the placement of the top lace doesn't allow for adjusting the opening quite as securely as I would like. Perhaps it's because I have a wider forefoot and regular ankle/heel size (the most common foot anatomy) but this shoe is just designed for a wide foot all along. Wide width wasn't available in any stores so I had to order online otherwise I might not have purchased them.
I've been mourning my older Merrells that are worn out and not made the same anymore. I almost cried when I packed up these Moab 3s for return. My feet tried so hard to love them like I used to. But the squarish heel did not feel good under my heels and the horribly hard insert is unbearable. Merrell used to put Ortholite inserts in these styles, and I still have an 11 yr old one in my bike shoes, which still feels good. Also, the exaggerated arch doesn't feel natural at all and hits too far back now. The biggest flaw Merrell has is not making these with the Q Form, as in the old days. Only things still good about the Moab is outsole grip, mesh for hotter months and offering the Wide width. Wide not wide enough. terrible pain after day wear at work. I wore them in the house for a couple days but when I wore to work after about six hours the pain was unbearable. I replaced the foot bed but still just not enough room in the toe box. On the positive side, they are very nice looking and great tread. I work at a ski resort and we’re great for stability on snow and icy parking lot. Seem warm enough for me and did not have Amy moisture penetration. I wish I would have had the pain issue before I wore them outside the house because I would have returned them.
Having this boot offered in Wide width is the most important aspect to me. It is comfortable, sturdy and fits well. I have worn Merrell boots in the past and was satisfied. I recently wore these boots to photograph the wildlife in the Falkland Islands and did not fear rocky terrain, penguin muck or the incoming tides. I recommend Merrel boots, especially for those needing the Wide width.
This boots are light weight and very comfortable. I bought them for everyday work wear. I needed durable, breathable boots something better than what I was currently using. They were comfortable right from the start, no break in needed. I was surprised to find the wide width and size fit my feet just right. I can't wait to get more!Anyone needing a sturdy pair of shoes for work/activities on concrete or standing for long periods of time I recommend giving these a try. They breathe and offer great arch and ankle support without breaking the bank
