I ordered my Merrell Moab Adventure shoes on line. The price was competitive. They arrived promptly. I wear them almost every day. Excellent fit and very comfortable. I walk 50-70 kilometres each week. This is my third pair of these shoes. I thoroughly endorse this specific brand.

These shoes are uniquely versatile. Theyâre rugged enough, and âgrippyâ enough, for light to moderate day hiking in rough terrain, yet can be brushed off and âspiffed upâ a little to be worn when itâs necessary to be at least a little bit âpresentableâ. They were, as the clichĂŠ goes, comfortable â right out of the boxâ, and have remained so since I first started wearing them. Quality of materials and construction continue to appear first-class. Great shoe!

I was looking for a âcasualâ pair of walking shoes. Nothing too chunky or heavy or technical. Just reasonably priced shoes for walking 5-10km on local trails when I didnât want to wear my full walking boots. These fit the bill perfectly. They are very cushioned and comfortable. They look smart enough for walking round town. They are tall enough to go through some minor mud and puddles but not a full boot height. If you are looking for something to go up real mountains or long distance, there are better choices than this. I did do one longer (15km+) hike and they started to rub on my ankles. For most walks though, these will more than do the job and do it comfortably and stylishly.

Bought these looking for something comfortable and tough for work. I do the general maintenance for five locations in Byron Bay and it involves a lot of walking. These shoes are pretty tough but very uncomfortable. There is no inner cushioning for the soles of your feet and the excessive folds of material around the tongue pinch the top of your feet. Have been wearing for two weeks now for 4 hours a day and they are not getting any better. I only work till 12 midday each day and am glad to remove them when i get home. I was wearing newbalance runners which are comfy but they fall apart quickly as quality has dropped off. Hope someone can recommend something better. These shoes great for a quick walk around the block.
I use these shoes for work 99% of the time. Because I work in a dry, and sometimes wet environment, waterproofing is important. Usually a pair of Merrells will last me about one year they will always fail at the sole. Separation of the sole where it's glued on usually happens with heavy usage. That's my case for my last eight pairs of Merrells. For the price I paid it is a good quality work shoe without steel toe. These are comfortable working shoes, not too heavy and for the most part durable.
So far so good. Iâve had 4 pairs of MOAB shoes and worn them pretty hard with a common failure of the side rubber at the bend point of the toe of the shoe. These seem a different cut and the bend looks less likely to fatigued and tear. Otherwise they are particularly comfortable from first wear. A sturdy shoe giving good protection from sticks and thorns in rough scrubs.
I already have the boot version of these excellent shoes. These lower cut ones are just as good and better for Summer I think. Best most comfortable I've ever worn. Great brand but this model (and the boot version) are just the best. I'll get another pair to store for the future in case they aren't available later. Best ever.
This my second pair of Moab Adventure for city walking. I also have Moab trail hiking shoes. I'm really happy with them all! The water proofing on Adventure does not last more than a year in my experience, but this is a common problem with that sort of shoes. The soles are very good on your feet with just the right amount of rigidity and last very long even for the city walking on hard abrasive surfaces! The tops are durable as well, keeping appearance good. I wear 10.5 or 11. For Adventure it's 11. Very comfortable.
The Moab 3 (also known as the Adventure Lace) manages to successfully blend together the comfort and grip of their Moab hiking boots (complete with the Vibram sole) with an understated style that wouldn't be out of place at work.Shoes in this range have been my daily wear for the past 5+ years and this version has finally included a waterproof upper as standard, which addressed my only real issue with the product. Providing you maintain the leather upper, it ages remarkably well and should serve you well for many hundreds of KMs.
Not all Vibram rubber compounds are the same. The Vibram compound on the Moab has excellent grip on wet surfaces and that's important because I live in a rain forest. Moving indoors, the wet soles squeak on linoleum and remind me of the super sticky soles on Sperry duck shoes. The Vibram rubber can slip a bit on ice but it still gives me more confidence that the rubber chemistry used by other brands of hiking shoes. It's a trade-off between traction and long-life. I'll take traction any day because life won't be fun if I slip climbing over wet rocks. The lug pattern is wide-spaced and work great on mud, rock and snow. Transitioning from trail to pavement, it feels a bit lumpy. That's okay because these are not dancing shoes.
