I've been wearing these around the house to make sure they felt good and they do. They are very comfortable and probably didn't need the breaking in I chose to do to be sure. They have good support but not too much. They were a little more green than I expected and that was the only turn off. The color name had blue in it and on the screen I thought they were more blue than green, in person I feel they are more green than blue-green. Bought my normal size and happy with that.

I've tried many versions of the Merrell and never found one that felt good on my feet until now. I read the reviews and decided to give these a try. They feel great right out of the box. the toe box is large enough for my feet and it's not to narrow across the arch area. I'm a female that prefers men's shoes because women's are too narrow and not all women like pink, purple and turquoise colors.

I’ve owned many pairs of Merrill’s and this one doesn’t disappoint. I’ve been wearing them for some local walking and hiking. Perfect support and lightweight. Don’t always want to wear my clunkier hiking boots. ❤️the green color. Very happy with my purchase

Bought these before a trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. I'm not a hiker, but wanted something with great sole, traction, and arch support. I didn't want a bulky shoe that would cause me to trip or drag my feet due to their weight or bulk. These were PERFECT! The light weight fabric makes them comfortable when it is warm out. Arch support and cushion are great. Sole is grippy and flexible to not be a burden, but made inclines of trails a breeze. And they look great with jeans or shorts for after trail time so don't need multiple pairs of shoes during the day. My family and friends were amazed at how I was able to manage easy and moderate trails compared to other trips. They dubbed them my "magic shoes".
I use these shoes mostly for hiking, and occasional trailrunning, but the split is like 95/5. I also walk in cities occasionally, but it's pretty rare.Anyway, they are fantastic if the trail is not wet. I can't say that they provide a lot of support when you go through rocks/roots, but you have to pay for how light they are. And they do feel light, I can walk all day in them and don't feel anything on my feet. As I've said, their biggest downfall is that they let in all the moisture, but because of that they are breathable.
Have had these about a month and a half. Purchased to train for an upcoming rim to rim hike (straight through). They have performed well! Have done a lot of downhill training on the road and very happy with the cushion and stability. Have had them on the trail and they were comfortable on rock and stable. Not as stiff a sole as Moabs, but good arch protection. Excellent shoe if you will be moving fast.
I love these does, I always purchase Merrell because of the way they feel on my feet. I have plantar fasciitis and Merrell seem to make my feet feel great! This color is so awesome because it’s my favorite color. The plaid sole are what really sold me!
Narrow, uncomfortable, painful (painful with less than 2 miles, incl warmup). In the not-to-distant past, for many years Chinese lasts were known for being smaller than U.S. and/or West's (European - U.K., Germ, Switz, etc) lasts (confirmed by a major U.S. athletic shoe mfr's regional director many years ago). It now appears China athletic shoe mfrs have come on board complying with U.S. shoe sizes and lasts. However, it seems as though the Vietnam athletic shoe mfrs are offering the same resistance to complying with the West's (U.S., European, etc larger feet/shoe sizes) shoe sizes with several Vietnam brands providing smaller shoe sizes, especially width.RETURNING (3 pairs)
I purchased these shoes because I needed supportive shoes. These have been perfect. They are very stable and my foot pain has reduced dramatically. I can wear them for walking or running and they seem very durable and able to take a beating. I like the look a lot and the laces and thick and secure. Great shoes.
These work for both women and men. I am a woman who wanted to size up for those long days on the trail when your feet swell. I also wanted a larger toe box to help my natural stride and prevent toe squishing. Most women's shoes I've found tend to compact your toes into an unnatural position. These didn't. There was no breaking in period, they were comfortable straight from the box. I bought a size 8 men's, about half a size larger than most my shoes. They still felt great and easy to walk in with fantastic traction. I've done about 100 miles in them in scrambling, sand, and paved road hikes. They were more padded than I anticipated. They also started to fray a bit on the inner portion of fabric around the ankle, but I assume that's from my own poor walking patterns. ... MoreThese work for both women and men. I live in southern Arizona and hike on rough rocks most of the time, all of the seams are intact and seem durable. Structurally they are solid, I'll be using these for a long while. I'd recommend them to women or men looking for a trail running or light weight approach shoe.
