After originally purchasing the olive Nova 3, i got this black version. This trail-running shoe is really comfortable. It provides good support. The wide version fits quite nicely. It looks good as well!

Just received these shoes today. Tried them on and walked around the house. They feel immediately comfortable. Fitting/size is just right, doesn't seem to run big or small. They're very light weight and look as though they'll be super breathable on hot days, thanks to the mesh upper. Looking forward to testing these in the mountains soon.

Merrell Nova are SO COMFY!

The comfort is unmatched. I have bought dozens of Nova over the years. I play basketball in them, they are better than any shoes out there made to hoop. My only gripe of the Nova 3 are the laces, kinda puny, but easy fix. Keep’em coming! Make more colors please.

Not waterproof and poor manufacturing
14 June 2023

I bought my current pair of Nova 3 in March. I liked the Nova 2 so was looking forward to the upgrade. I was disappointed.Although GTX they were never waterproof. The shoe leaked at the toebox. I should have sent them back but didn't.My Fitbit says I've done about 700-800km in them. Mostly light trails. The heel cap is coming of both shoes and the stitching from the tongue loop is loose.

Nova 3
27 March 2023

Had the previous version and loved them, bought the Nova three and there are small differences. Both are very comfortable and light. There seems to be less tread on the new ones so they may ware out faster. Taken on one day hike at Inks lake Texas and held up with no issues but the previous version did as well.

Nova 3 what happened ?
20 February 2023

My Nova 2 rainbows shoe lace loops ripped so I got these for some additional money as a replacement! The colors are striking but the sole feels so much harder and the profile changed too! We don’t have much snow mostly wet ground and some ice! The grip bad and slippery! I don’t trust the shoes! I have 3pairs of Nova 2 they must do the job!

Okay
26 April 2023

So far okay except for two issues. First, the left shoe was tight but I put a shoe tree in to give it a stretch. Second, and made me border on a return, the right shoe Achilles pad protection seems to bunch slightly. I have to be exceedingly careful when putting it on and gently massage the filling in to place. I have other Merrell shoes and find them better constructed with better arches (mocs and hiking shoes). Probably will look elsewhere when I need new gym type shoes.

Trail Race Training Shoe Becomes Raceday Shoe
17 February 2023

I bought these to use as a training shoe for 50k and found them to be super comfortable, supportive, and stable. They were the ideal training shoe. What I didn't expect was to end up wearing them on Raceday! Literally the smoothest trail runners I have right now and making me rethink my footwear choices in future races. Really happy with these shoes.

Very Disappointed
18 May 2023

I bought these 20 months ago. They have been used moderately (3 season use, used for walking and easy trail use only, used my Moabs for most trail use). Shoes are quite comfortable and provide good support. However, outer sides are ripping extensively at the flex point and I won't be able to wear them much longer, even though there is no wear showing on the Vibram soles. I cannot recommend these shoes due to severely premature wear.

Wear out vast, low value, look cool when new
9 May 2023

I've had 3 or 4 pairs over the last few years. I've worn them until the fabric across the toes tore from side to side and my pinky toes busted out the edges. Lot of experience here...These are just alright. For what you get, I don't think they're worth the $125. There's better value elsewhere. The tread packs with mud and then it becomes useless. Grip is marginal. Soles are thin so you feel all the rocks. The rubber Vibram tread separated from the midsole and fell off in chunks after just a few weeks. The fabric tore quickly. Long story short, these are trail runners for people that don't actually trail run. They're not durable and the construction doesn't hold up to much, They look cool but after awhile, all shoes look old. These fell apart. I'd try a few more pairs and maybe the durability has improved, but I wouldn't pay full price. They're just not worth it.
