Comfortable near-barefoot shoe. The Vibram sole seems to be weak point, showing remarkable ´deterioration already after some 20 km on normal roads. And the sole squeaks funnily on smooth surfaces like floor tiles, so some attention to you is guaranteed indoors :)

After the break-in, these are so comfortable. I put elastic shoelaces on them and they're even better. I have other pairs for exercise. These are my casual shoes.

I first tried NB barefoot shoes about 10 years back. Liked them. But when I found the vapor glove I really got hooked. I wear the leather upper style pretty much everyday…. To work, on the bicycle, walking in the woods and in town. They’re also great for some light scrambling in the rocks.I had to order my second pair (of the prior style) internationally, and thought they may be gone forever. Now there’s a new style with differences in the liner and sole that I think improve the experience even if a bit less cool looking (being picky). I am 3 months into the olive pair. They fit perfectly after a week. Now they look well worn, but quite nice. No mesh to fray. Leather looks presentable with sneaker wipes.I am getting more colors.These are my forever shoes.I hope ... Distance running in this type of shoe never worked out for me, but I recently broke a pinky toe and stuffing my foot into a conventional shoe was agony. I went back to the Merrell glove line and have been basically living in these since. The Vapor 6 Leather works well with casual office attire and is minimal enough to remind me of posture and to tread lightly. These are holding up nicely and my entire body is thankful.
Brought these for a trip to Hawaii for a few excursions that included some hiking. They were comfortable, light and durable up and down a few trails and volcanic craters. Several people noticed them and asked me what brand they were. Was proud to tell them they were Merrill. My closet also houses two other styles of Merrill shoes which are worn often.
I’m a Certified Flight Instructor and find the Merrell barefoot style ideal for flying. Light, low profile and excellent traction on rudder pedals. I also were them while playing golf. The tread provides more traction than any $200 golf shoe I’ve owned. Finally, they are great all around shoes, they look good and are very comfortable. I guess the only downside may be that I am only 5’7”, and these Merrill’s don’t add anything to my height 😀

I’ve bought almost every color in both men’s and women’s in mesh and now I’ve bought 2 colors in leather.Of the leather I bought I got size US 9 in women’s blue and a size US 7.5 in men’s black.The women’s in blue is a bit narrow in width but should stretch out ok. The length is running a bit small. I’m sorry I didn’t size up to a women’s 9.5. I can’t return because I didn’t realize they were a bit small until I’d worn them outside. These are quite a bit more narrow compared to the women’s glove 6 mesh counterpart.The men’s black in size 7.5 fits great. Wider, as a men’s should be. The size fits exactly like my men’s mesh vapor 6.I get the width difference between the men’s and women’s as I expect the men’s to be wider, which I need and prefer. ... MoreLove the glove 6. I have two other pairs of Merrill's barefoot shoes and I love them. I wear them every day. I bought these because I wanted a slightly dressier look with more waterproof protection than my other ones.
Purchased on July 9th, my first pair of Merrell’s but far from my first barefoot shoe. The shoe seemed fine, but I’ve done zero real hikes in them and have just used them for normal walking and wear. Both shoes have already work down so significantly directly under the forefoot that all the outsole has worn away, and in one the wear is already showing through on the inside. Every step you now feel the ground. No idea how you could use these for trail running, it’s been less than two months, and I predict that they’ll be unwearable in a month or so more. This will be my last pair of Merrell’s.
Nice construction, but very uncomfortable. I took these out on a vacation trip for a couple weeks and had to wear them everyday my feet were hurting all the time. I saw them under 'running shoe' online and they appear to have a lot of cushion, but there's nothing under your feet. I'm really bummed about these shoes and won't be wearing them again, my feet are bruised and I wish I could return them.
