Initially I was very happy with this helmet however after a few longer rides I found some discomfort on the forehead. The band has points of fastenings that apply point pressure for me. I purchased another brand that applies the pressure on the head more evenly that has been fantastic. Looks great, just think it does not suit my head shape although the fixings on the headband do not seem clever.

I purchased the MET Rivale II having read the reviews and comparing the product, given the MIPS technology contained within. I love this helmet! I love the look. I love the feel. I love the features. I had been looking at this specific helmet for awhile and found a great deal at Cicli Mattio. The helmet offers great looks and great ventilation and MIPS technology, which, although I never have to test it, gives me peace of mind when riding with traffic or on those 40 mph downhill sections. The glasses ports are a great feature also, so I know my shades are secure when I don't have them on my face.

The Met Rivale is a beautiful looking helmet and well finished and the candy apple red is a stand out . ( Best looking helmet i have seen )The Rivale is quite a small helmet compared to most therefore accurate fit is crucial but , once found this helmet fits beautifully .Of all the brands I checked out the Rivale was thé lightest by quite a margin so , it’s impact on your ride ( in both weight and noticeably ) are négligent .This helmet also breathes very well and whistling i have not yet experienced as some are loud enough to reduce your peripheral hearing .Conclusion : a great fitting , great looking more compact helmet . Love it .

Comfortable and Smart

A nice shade of red, that really flows when the sun catches it, makes this helmet great for riding on sunny days. The helmet is sleek and smart, fitting my head well. There is generous venting at the front of the helmet, leading to the oversize exhaust vents at the back.Comfortable to wear, with easy strap adjustments, dial-in closure, and of course MIPS. I don't plan to try that feature out, but it's reassuring to know that there is an additional safety feature.I think it's a great helmet.

Excellent fit, super-light

I have had this nearly a month and I am very happy with it. This is my second MIPS helmet. I replace mine every four years or so because they get a LOT of use and are exposed to a lot of sunlight and sweat.The fit (for my head shape) is great. I don't feel any pressure points, and I find the dial to adjust is the smoothest I have ever experienced in a helmet. The helmet is very light, and it is well-ventilated (I have worn it on days over 30C).

Great helmet

Objective: 57cm head ordered a medium, fit was perfect with room to fit a cycling cap under. It got MIPS. Insanely lightweight for the price, my medium came in at 256g. Crash replacement program from MEC for MET helmets.Subjective: One of the best looking high end helmets, without the swiss cheese or bunched banana look. Lightweight with great ventilation. My only complaint is that no bag or extra foam pads are included.Would buy again if/when I need a replacement. If your budget is in this range I'd recommend at least trying this.

Great helmet

Bought this to replace an aging Kask Mojito. First MiPS helmet for me as well. Definitely feels a more secure fit although not so sure it will go so well over a skull cap for winter rides. Otherwise very comfortable and plenty of airflow. Looks great all well. Only negative (certainly when comparing with the Mojito) is the chin strap is an old style which seems to loosen up quite easily over time but not a major issues.

Light, comfortable and good looking helmet!

Very light, comfortable. Thanks to longer and wider front vents which provides lots airflow. Visibility through holographic rear decals, also looks great.Great-looking helmet that provides great safety features you would want at a reasonable price. I’m very happy.

Most expensive helmet I've purchased, prompted by an accident. Sigma price the best I could find. I think the extra cost will be worth it as the helmet seems well made. The chin straps seem to fit closer/better than my previous helmet so may be less wind noise. MIPS seems to divide opinion as to its proven effectiveness, I'm not fed up with hearing from experts, the same ones who treated me after my accident, rather than a key board warrior on youtube. Extra £s for MIPS doesn't seem excessive to me and it is backed by most major manufacturers. Marketing con or not I'll give it a go. In my motorcycling days it was said 'buy a $10 helmet if you've got a $10 head.' Semi aero gives my balding head a bit more shade, which it needs, but still well vented, very happy with this helmet and would recommend and buy again but hopefully not for a couple of years.
