I was abit sceptical at first going from petrol to electric, now I've used it I will never use petrol again. Quieter and more power , and lighter to use. Great mower for the money.

Having used a petrol mower for the last 10 years I was concerned about moving to battery power but when I saw this Metabo mower which I've already got batteries for I thought I would give it a go. I'm really impressed with it, it didn't struggle with the first cut after winter which is a bit longer than normal and tufty.The cut of the grass was good and it collected well, I couldn't have it on it's lowest height setting as it was too low for my lawn. I have a medium sized garden and used two 5.5Ah batteries fully charged which went down to one light once I had finished. Overall I would definitely recommend it.

Decent value domestic mower

Easy to use compared to a petrol mower that needs servicing and also starts at the touch of buttons rather than pull starts. The weights is perfect 25kg (10kg lighter than my similarly sized petrol mower). I already had 2 5.5ah batteries and they last about 25 mins which is enough for small/medium sized lawns. I would recommend the bigger high demand batteries for larger gardens but they are very expensive (140 each for 10ah). The motor is quite quiet compared to petrol mowers but still loud enough for ear protection. The motor adjusts the torque depending on load which is clever and good for efficiency. The mower is not self propelled but it works fine because it's not too heavy and it rolls nicely even on hills. The only major criticism is that the ipx rating is only ipx1 rubbish compared to the competition (even the crappy gtech one is ipx5) and this wouldn't be suitable for professionals or in the back of a trailer or pick up truck.

Cracking mower light and very powerful
