I purchased them right before a ~1500 mi (round) trip which would encounter every manner of paved road, from canyons to Interstate, then about 20 miles of hard-packed gravel near the destination. I don't usually, intentionally, take this bike off road - I could have gotten a pure street tire for the rest of my riding, but needed something that would handle the gravel section. I was concerned that they would sacrifice on-road performance for that little bit of versatility on gravel, but I needn't have been. These tires handle great*, stick (almost**) like glue on warm, twisty pavement, track well on the long straight stretches (I won't tell you how fast I've taken them, but I heard a rumor they handled well at top speed fully loaded, and handled better than the stock Pirellis*** while doing so), and, so far, are wearing VERY well.In the first 2000 mi on these tires, I can safely say that I've tried pretty much everything on them, that I ever will, aside from much rain use, and in those conditions their reputation is excellent. They are wearing very well (minimal wear so far****), maintaining a nice profile as long as I do something besides drone for hundreds of miles on the Interstate. In my experience so far, these are excellent tires, and do everything I will ask of them. Tire reviews are super subjective: your mileage may vary.*One aspect which requires attention, at least on my bike with 19 in front and 17 in rear tires, is the tendency to oversteer. Steering is light and linear, then from moderate to full lean, a little bit of outside bar pressure is required, on my bike, to maintain a line and keep from tipping in further through the corner. I prefer neutral handling, but I don't mind this mild oversteer, preferring it to requiring inside bar pressure, and what I anticipate will happen is that the tires will balance out while they wear, resulting in neutral handling much farther into the wear envelope than usual. If so, I'll take it!**I can get the rear tire to spin a little bit under full throttle second-gear corner exits. It's well-controlled by the electronics on the bike and doesn't bother me a bit. Is the rear as sticky as a sport tire? No. Is it grippy enough to shockingly exceed what a prudent rider should do on the street? Absolutely.***The bike, as configured off the showroom, when fully loaded with saddlebags and top box, weaves a touch at speeds of over 125 mph, or so I've been told. On these tires, the bike tracks straight.****I've attached photos of the tires with 2000 miles of decently hard riding on them. I haven't made measurements, but they look like they're going to go 3-4 times this long, at least.

The front is still trucking at 14,000 and will probably last the life of my second rear. This is on a approx. ~700 lb setup including rider, with often long stretches of 80mph desert highway.

Great Tires for R1250GSA
4 August 2022

I have a 2021 BMW R1250GSA. The bike came with Battlax A41 tires everyone said were loud and not worth anything. They lasted 6K miles and I really thought they were OK. I then put The Anakee Adventures on and immediately felt how much better the bike handling was. The off road/dirt road riding was way better. I just changed them with a new set at 7800 just because I was doing maintenance. They still looked good. You could probably get 10K or more with these. Since I heard of a tire shortage this year, I just ordered a set to store for next time.

They definitely don't grip as well off road, but the trade off is worth it. the TKC80s I had on previously didn't like going above 80. they had a little head shake, followed grooves in the pavement, and had a significant amount of vibration on the highway. all these symptoms of a 50/50 tire on the highway are 100% gone, and these feel like a regular road tire to me on the highway. These handle beautifully on the road, very smooth, quiet, and stable in a corner. they still feel very good on hard packed dirt like a fire road, but I haven't taken them on anything softer yet.I did take them out briefly with fully loaded paniers, top case, all my ... MoreBought these for my 2007 R1200GS. Long Lasting, Does Everything

I have these mounted on a Triumph Tiger 800 XC to replace the set of TKC80s that I purchased the bike with. I have since put the same amount of miles on these Anakees that I did on the TKC80s when they went bald (2000 miles), and the Anakees are still going strong. That's to be expected, given their vastly differing orientations. But where the comparison really gets interesting is when I take the Anakees offroad. I'm truly just as confident with the Anakees on dirt/gravel roads as I was with the dirt oriented TKC80s. The problem with the TKC80s was that I had grip until a certain point, then all of a sudden it would let go, almost without warning. These Anakees, with the chunkier blocks at the edges, have a very linear response when turning. On the highway, they are quiet, and I can cruise at 100mph with confidence. Mind you, I've never ridden on strictly street tires at those speeds before - I'm more of a dirt rider. In the twisties, there's no squirming, and I can't feel the widening void space at the edges of the tires like I thought I would. Though I am limited by my skill, and the 21in front wheel to really push it on the street, I still have no problem scraping pegs in tight corners.Where things really got interesting is when I took the Tiger on deep deep deep sand - The Oregon Dunes. I aired the rear tire down to 15psi, pointed it uphill, grabbed a handful of throttle and prayed. And it shot right up there! In a sea of sand, surrounded by bikes half its weight on paddle tires, the Anakee Adventure tire was able to move enough sand to scoot the 500lb Tiger right along. Here's a video of that event: https://youtu.be/sQHtEfnfE3QFor my needs, and I think the needs of the majority of big adventure bike riders, the Anakee Adventure is perfect. I can cruise on the highway and put on big miles, hit twisty roads, dirt roads, and then rip around in the sand dunes. All in the same day on the same machine with the same tires. I really have yet to find a compromise.

Michelin Anakee Adventure, a good compromise.
19 November 2022

I have not yet mounted on my bike the new Anakee Adventure I received from Revzilla, so my review will be based on the Anakee Adventure that came with my 2021 BMW R1250 GSA, and have 8085 miles on them. The front tire tread wear bar indicators are now flush with surface of the tire, but the rear tire has still some life, perhaps another 1000 miles. However I'm planning to replace both the tires soon. The Anakee Adventure has proven to be a good choice of tires for my riding style. I'm riding mostly on paved roads and enjoy the grip they offer, especially in extreme cornering. Most of the offroad I do is on dirt roads with little sand and the tires are adequate for this.

Wonderful tire, but it didn?t last long.
9 December 2022

This is a great tire without a doubt. It?s great on-road due to the dual compound and I was surprised how much lean I could get on my R1250 GSA and when I started pushing it by trail braking hard while at quite some lean angle there was no slip. Very impressive and very quiet. Off-road I didn?t push it and I did crash it when crossing a stream with a pretty sandy bottom, but that?s to be expected. On streams with a rocky base it was solid and I was surprised at some of the inclines I was able to tackle with this tire. The only thing that really let it down was that I only got 3500 out of the rear tire and the front it looking like it doesn?t have significantly more tread life left either.

I do a small bit of trail riding but mainly wanted them for the looks. (I know not a great idea) The grip was good, I would lose tracking at high RPM?s in first gear. Other then that the tire gripped amazing, even in rain. If your motorcycle has traction control these tires are great. One big downside is I only got about 5,000 miles on the tire on the rear. Front tire has more then half the tread left but the back is now bald in the middle. Came stock on my 2019 GSA. I have since pulled them off and replaced them with Anakee wilds. When I did the front growl went from, "is my bearing bad" to "Geezuz am I on my dirtbike?". After 5200 miles on them the front is flat spotted and the back had significant wear but both still had tread. I think another 1000 miles or so is doable. I plan on putting them back on for a road trip I have planned. (No Mar Tire changer is great). I cornered with them on the twisties like I was on my K1200s and had no issues with rain on pavement or any dry hard packed roads. In spite of my off road training and my best efforts, the front tire would almost immediately wash out. I went to the wilds for this reason as I wanted more off pavement adventures. I am happy I did but look forward to putting them back on for the road trip because the wilds are well - wild. Overall great adventure bike tire for the pavement and any short or unexpected trips off pavement. If your goal is to go off pavement, I would recommend the wilds. They are performing exactly what I expect in the off pavement conditions.
