Without a doubt the best overall MX tire on the market right now. Exceptional feel across nearly all surfaces, decent wear even on a modern 450 if you go with at least Medium compound, and easy installation even for the most amatuer mechanics. These sidewalls flex enough so that just about anyone can install this tire.

I have the same tire on 100/100 18 Medium rear and is just awesome. Excellent grip, durable and lightweight. And it is bi-directional... I ride in New Englang, ie roots, rocks, mud - no sand.I will install the front, 80/100 21 Medium, and I expect nothing less.It looks like I'll just stick to those tires for a while, even when the time comes to renew.I also use them with the tubliss system.Don'r know the tread life, yet, hence the 3 starts.Quick delivery (1 week) from Revzilla.

This tire looks like its ready to tear up the trails! I havent gotten deep in the woods yet but the little bit ive done so far feels good and already increased my confidence. Not a bad price for the quality either.
I've got a couple hundred miles on these now with the bib mousse installed. First time on the Mousses and I'm liking them. Tires aren't chunking and have good traction in the soft and hard terrain. I would rebuy. I've got the rear on now and waiting to install the front. Ride with confidence with the Mousse paired together.
Never got it was last by fedex. So I bought a different tire and tube to have installed at your Draper UT store and they only installed the tube with the old tire . I will no longer be shopping with cycle gear sorry
I live in the east Tn mountains and ride here and north Georgia, hard clay but sloppy all winter and spring. So I use a medium tear and soft combo and I’m honestly afraid to try anything else: I ride everyday and unless I ride on road to trail systems frequently they don’t wear out to quick and it’s all a sudden when they do. Have New pair ready to throw on as soon as these kick the bucket.
This is a pretty mean tire. It has tons of grip and can get the front wheel up in the dirt pretty easily. It does seem to be wearing pretty quickly but in the kind of terrain I ride and with the profile of the knobs, that's not really surprising. Probably a gnarlier tire than I need but I can't say I wouldn't buy it again. They are a little wobbly on the road though, if anyone is curious. Not that they were made for that.
I am incredibly happy with the traction these provide compared to the Dunlop’s I was running before. I got a front and back set and they really allowed me to improve my riding. As someone who is just getting back to dirt it made a difference.
My son has raced an 85 for 3 years now. We have tried 3 different Dunlops, Maxxis and Pirellis. These Star Crosses are by far the best for traction and longevity. His fist race on them was a mud race during 1 1/2” of rain and ran away from the competition. On dry ground, they grip better than the others as well and he mostly practices and races on heavily sandy soils that chew up tires fast and these have lasted the longest. Recommended by one of the castes girls in the country and she was right.
