I waited to write this review so I could evaluate this litter after using it for at least a month. A litter you love the first week can turn into a nightmare by the fourth week. I have used at least a dozen different litters over the years. I have tried all the litter materials known to man and cat. My number one priority for an excellent litter is odor control. My second priority is no or little dust. Michu Mixed Tofu Heavy Duty cat litter gets an A+ in odor control. I no longer use an additional odor control agent in the litter boxes and have been able to remove several plug-in air fresheners. The Mixed Tofu litter gets an A- for dust control. My furry family members weigh 18 and 20 pounds. They have huge paws and track this small-grain litter everywhere. But I own cats so I have many vacuum cleaners and electric brooms, because they shed everywhere, too. They're cats, after all. Messes are to be expected. I actually signed up for a subscription to receive this litter, I like it so well. I have never done that before. Thanks Michu Pet.

I love this litter! The scent is subtle and really controls odors and is the ONLY litter i have used that has no tracking beyond my small discreet litter mat.I have a 13 pound male 5 year with hip dysplasia. He jumps out of the box (even the litter robot can’t keep him grounded.).So Michu is the only litter my feline arial artisit doesnt track and i tried THEM ALL!While i use worlds best in my litter robot 4 which he shares with his mother, nithing compares to Michu tofu litter. He precers his modkat Michu filled over the litter robot that has worlds best.Moat important he almoat died from a urinary blockage and michu tofu litter was the only litter comfortable for him to sit on. I am so grateful for this product and highly recommend it

The color is so bright and vibrant which helps me identify any tracked pieces on my floors for easy cleaning . But speaking of the tracking it’s a very small amount due to the size preventing it from getting stuck on kitties paws . The cleanup was a breeze which was such a relief considering the last brand i utilized was awful with it always being paste like and stuck on the bottom of the box. All in all I am so happy with my choice to change brands . Big important factor I forgot to mention, the price . I went ahead and signed up for subscription. I was skeptical buying this litter box because of the price and also concern that my 22 year old cat wouldn’t be able to get in it. However, after reading reviews and recommendations, I decided to go for it. I am so glad we did. It is 100% worth every single penny. We have 3 cats and multiple cat boxes, but one of the cats is constantly digging out all the cat litter no matter what kind of box we buy. Meaning, I’m constantly either replacing the litter or sweeping and putting it back in the box. My other two cats do not dig any more than necessary.Package: the packaging is neat and minimal.Product: looks minimalistic and neat. It is a bigger box but mostly height-wise.Use: immediately, all of my cats were intrigued by the box and each had used it within ... MoreI was skeptical buying this litter box because of the price and also concern that my 22 year old cat wouldn’t be able to get in it. Good Litter, better than clay
13 March 2024

I've now tried the watermelon, matcha, and original. It's still litter, so it's never going to be perfect, but I like it more than the sand! It tracks a lot less, I don't have dust outside the box constantly, and my cat likes it (a little too much. If he manages to get a pellet out of the box, he will play with it like it is the best little toy ever. flings it around to chase it). It took a month of mixing my old clay litter with it though before my cat would go into the box with just this litter. The scents aren't notably scented, but after trying the original, I am realizing that the artificial scents neutralize the soy/corn/animal bedding scent of the product. It doesn't necessarily smell bad (definitely doesn't smell like cat waste when used), but I'm not a fan ... MoreI've now tried the watermelon, matcha, and original. It's only noticeable while I scoop it though I will be getting the colored/scented options from now on, or at least mixing one with the original, to try to reduce that! Overall, I like it and will keep buying it!

I Like It!

I already know I like tofu litter- it's nice for both mine and my cat's allergies, has very little tracking with the pellet shape, clumps, and any residue is very easy to clean off the litterbox because it dissolves in liquid. My cat has no issues using it and the other cats in the house sneak in to use the box with no complaints.I'm liking THIS particular brand because, as nice as the natural "milky" smell of tofu litter is, some days any smell at all grates on my nerves. I bought this brand in ocean blue and peach specifically because some reviews mention the lack of scent and I'm happy to say that's true. The closest I can describe the neutral smell of these pellets is... paper. Faint paper-y scent and looks like I filled the litterbox with big icecream ... MoreI already know I like tofu litter- it's nice for both mine and my cat's allergies, has very little tracking with the pellet shape, clumps, and any residue is very easy to clean off the litterbox because it dissolves in liquid. Okocat wood pellets is still a good standby, it's just not as scentless or easy to clean the litterbox in comparison.

The least messy, least dusty clumping litter on earth
25 August 2024

I have a ton of foster kittens right now. The mess from zoomy kittens with every other litter I'd tried (be it wood, clay, pellet, granules, you name it) was driving me nuts. Clay was the absolute worst for mess and dust, but the better wood litters were never very scoopable due to how poorly they clumped, meaning I was throwing out a lot of very expensive clean litter all the time and going through it way too fast. This stuff finally has the benefits of all those other litters without the downsides. The clumps are solid and stay completely together as you sift out the clean litter around them in the scoop. It does not track too much, and is minimally messy.Folks saying it doesn't clump are perplexing-- earlier while I was scooping the box, one of the kittens ... MoreI have a ton of foster kittens right now. I waited less than a minute before I tried scooping it out and it was already solid!

This is going to be a long review to give some insight on questions I had before buying, so buckle up.This is the best litter we've ever used, and we've used A LOT of different litters. I have 8 cats. We've been using Arm & Hammer Slide for several years and nothing has compared to the clumping and non stick capabilities until now. This litter clumps, doesn't stick to the litter box, AND it's flushable? Count me in.This little is more lightweight than Slide so I was curious about price comparisons. I filled one litter box with this litter and one with Slide, side by side. It takes 2 bags of this litter to equal about a 28lb box of Slide. So the price is still a little more for this, HOWEVER, it has long outlasted the Slide. I filled one litter box with this litter and one with Slide, side by side. It takes 2 bags of this litter to equal about a 28lb box of Slide. So the price is still a little more for this, HOWEVER, it has long outlasted the Slide. I've already had to put more litter in the Slide box, basically equaling a 38lb box of Slide. So price wise, even though this litter seems like it costs more, it lasts longer, so the price ends up being the same.I did have to buy a new litter scoop. It was a stainless steel one from Chewy, because I needed something with bigger holes than my current one.Smells: I ordered every scent except the Ocean one because I knew I'd hate it. I actually prefer the original, it has kind of a sweet scent that I'm a big fan of. The watermelon smells AMAZING. The green tea is nice, not really much of a smell at all. I did not love the peach. The smell isn't bad, I just don't love it, but the cats don't seem to care either way.For some reason my cats seem less likely to cover their pees and poops with this litter, I'm not sure why. It absorbs the pee smells completely, but doesn't do much for poop smells, especially if they're not covering it. If they're covering it, it does fine.It does still track, but not nearly as much, and it doesn't get stuck between my cats' feet, which was an issue with Slide. And it's so much easier to clean up the little that does track. I let a robot vacuum do most of my floors and Slide was so fine that it didn't really get it all. This is easier for the robot and for me to sweep up.Lastly, it really does disintegrate in water. The clumps hold firm prior to putting in the toilet, and I usually let it sit a minute or two, but it completely dissolves by then for me to flush.Overall 1000/10. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone on earth. We love that it's better for the environment and for us!
