Build quality is great. The adjustable handlebar makes it possible for a fairly small child to ride it comfortably. We got it for our daughter when she was 21 months old. The only issue for me is folding mechanism. The steering bar is inserted into a hole in the base and secured with a spring-loaded latch. The latch is tricky to operate. It's mechanism you can use to fold the scooter for long term storage. For daily use, if you wanted to fold it for carrying in a bag or similar purpose, it's not usable.
