We got the original Micro Scooter in red 2 years ago for my then 3 year old. Looking back I wish we would’ve gotten him the adjustable one because we will need to replace this one soon. (And we got our other 2 kids adjustable ones one year later) That being said, this is by far the best scooter on the market. My 2 year old was able to learn how to ride it while wearing a cast on her foot (because she is unstoppable) and they all ride their scooters almost every day after school. We take these scooters everywhere, especially parks and they are a great way to keep the kids moving and away from screens. I would buy these again in a heartbeat (in fact I think this Christmas Santa will have to bring my son an adjustable scooter because he is outgrowing the original). And I 100% would recommend it to anyone with kids.

Expensive

4 stars only because no ‘yellow’ colour on the available ones online. I have to choose and spend extra for a “design your own micro”. It was a present for my 3 year old for her bday, who loves colour yellow.I already have bought the same brand for my little boy last year. And I love the technology behind, as we have tried tried other brands that is less expensive.Highly recommended - easy to steer, toddlers enjoy using/playing on it.

Great company, great products

This is the third scooter we have bought for our grandchildren and the others are still going strong and looking good. We love this company and their concern to produce great products while protecting and supporting our environment. They produce spare parts and recycle - yay! Deliveries are prompt and not covered in plastic, and they donate generously via Give As You Live too.

Great first scooter for toddlers!

We had a chance to try out this scooter from my neighbor, and my child took to it right away. It was so amazing to watch him master this skill within a matter of days. We decided to purchase a Micro Kickboard Mini Scooter for his 3rd birthday and he has been thrilled. After a few days with his own, he has even mastered the foot brake.We were ambivalent about the cost, considered other/cheaper brands, but the reward and quality has been worth it.He asks to scooter 10x a day. And I say yes 10x a day.I love the quality, it feels like it is made to last, easy to assemble (aka no assembly) and sturdy.

Incorrect weight limit listed

This is a great scooter and we are pleased with the product itself. I am extremely disappointed that Target listed an incorrect weight limit though. It’s listed in the product description as 110lbs. When I brought the scooter home the instruction manual says a weight limit of 44lbs. Of course I noticed this after giving my 5 year old petite daughter this as a gift and she’s in love with it. She’s about 40lbs and we were hoping she would get at least 1-2 years out of this size model but now we are afraid she will immediately grow out of it.

Just brilliant

Bought one for my granddaughter 3 years ago. She uses it all the time and despite a hard life of being wheeled on gravel & dumped overnight on the lawn etc it has never gone wrong. Her little brother kept ‘borrowing’ it so it was the perfect choice for his 3rd birthday.

Light, portable, super easy and perfect size for toddlers

ALTHOUGH the shipping was awful- paid for overnight guaranteed for Christmas ( for TWO of these for my twins) and only one has since shown up a week later As far as the scooter goes- it’s amazingTheyhave been riding it non stopThe handle bar does not pivot for turning - something I didn’t look into But you turn with leaning on the scooter itselfOnce they got the hang of it ( they are 3) it was a HUGE success. And actually probably much safer !!! Micro is the ONLY toddler scooter to buy

First of all, I truly believe that the Micro Kickboard has the ONLY three wheel scooter to buy - having tried several different brands, Micro has the best maneuverability and ease of riding. (Don't buy any of the toddler scooters with 2 wheels in back).Second of all, their customer service is AMAZING. Both my kids have ridden their scooters roughshod to school daily as speed demons. Over the last 2 years, Micro has helped me to replace multiple parts, including the steering spring, new baseboard, and now a new brake.I write this review today, because they helped me order a new brake part for my daughter. Potential danger of tipping forward

We bought this for our nearly 3 yr-old granddaughter and have only used it three times, 2 of which resulted in her having an accident. On both occasions it was due to the scooter tipping forward and her going over the handlebars. There seems to be a design fault there - perhaps the front bar should be angled backwards slightly? At the very least I feel there should be clear warnings that the child should keep their weight to the back of the scooter and not stand too near the front. There is no mention of this on the 'do's and don'ts' advice.

Scooter for my 2year old

Bought for 2 year old, did consider model down from this which states more suitable but to be honest didn't think worthwhile when would get limited lifespan compared to this one and they aren't cheap :). Posted similar review for other scooter purchased at same time for older daughter. Held off for ages as wasn't keen on scooters and hoping younger daughter would be keener on using a balance bike, but relented when buying scooter for elder daughter as otherwise there would of been tears ! You can't fold this one up but handle can be detached but fiddly, grandma can't do it so tends to either be carried in hand or hung off back of pushchair. especially when considering places where bikes impractical / not catered for.
