From someone who was originally planning on getting the ps5 I missed out and instead settled on the Xbox series x. I planned on getting this eventually but not until later in the year however this console is a great system for both new and existing Xbox fans. First thing first the setup is quick and easy all of your games you purchased from the Xbox one era are available to download and play on your new console right after the setup. I was surprised to see all my games I bought from the Xbox one show up immediately after I set up my condo. For those uninformed the series x can play a limited amount of games from the original Xbox from 2001 and Xbox 360 it can also play every single Xbox one game as well it also loads every game at a faster rate so you’ll be spending less time in a loading screen and more time gaming. The quick resume feature is amazing and by far my favorite feature of the console. It lets you switch between up to 5 games at a time without going through in game menus. For example you could be playing Halo 5 and decide you want to play GTA 4 (an Xbox 360 game) you’ll switch to gta 4 and if you decide to return to halo 5 you’ll continue right from where you left off. The console is also capable of displaying games (that allow it) at 4K resolution and 120fps if you have a tv that supports it. If not the console still works on a standard 1080p or 720p tv you just won’t get that premium image quality and smooth gameplay. I would recommend buying this over the Xbox series s as the series x is more powerful and will run games way better than the series s but if you are on a budget the series s is ok as well but do know that it does not have a disk drive so you will only be able to play digital copies of games instead of both physical and digital. Gamepass is also a great feature if you are just joining the Xbox brand as it gives you access to over 100+ games that you can download and play all the way through. Games are added and rotated out on a monthly bases some games stay on for years others get removed after a few months. Think of it as a Netflix for video games. I recommend getting gamepass ultimate as it gives you access to gamepass and Xbox live gold which give you access to online multiplayer titles. Gamepass ultimate is 15$ a month but for new members you can get it for 1$ for 3 months and pay the 15$ once the 3 month period is over. If you just joined the Xbox brand and have no games to play gamepass ultimate immediately erases that problem as you can play 100+ games spanding from Xbox 2001 to the Xbox series x/s generation. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on this console get it it’s a great console with a lot of consumer friendly benefits for new and returning players.

However, the console does support external hard drives, so you can easily expand your storage if needed. It seems like newer generation but same old games? To me the switch is far superior in terms of games. Also after playing a few of the titles that are available on switch the difference did not blow me away.Sure its better graphics , cleaner textures and more detail but you would think the difference would be huge. Okay. Let's get the bad out of the way. The console is actually a light grey color. It looks dark in pics but in reality, it's much lighter. Still looks better in my entertainment center than the other options but still a little disappointing. Second, it only comes with a 500gb HDD (of which only about 375gb is allowed for personal use). It's not a dealbreaker since the Xbox One it replaced also had a 500gb HDD. In this day and age, that's totally unacceptable. Anyway, I just took the 2tb HDD off of that one and popped it onto the new one. Everything transferred over without a hitch. Game on. Now, for the Pros. This console runs everything a little better. My old games look sharper on my 4K HDR set. Menus, etc, run a tad smoother. A little faster. Games seem to ... MoreOkay. Let's get the bad out of the way. The console is actually a light grey color. The controller feels a bit better, and it was already great. There was a download code for Battlefield 1 which, if that's your cup of tea, a phenomenal game. Also, there is a free month of EA Access so you can download maybe 30 or so games and play until your heart is content. Now, if only the box it came in didn't look like somebody played soccer with it.

This console is what they say it is and more! The graphics on this console from games that are optimized or made for the Series X is above par and well worth its weight in Gold! The speed of it is like they bottled of The Flash and put him to work inside! The lock isn't as sleek as the PS5's air purifier look but with a good Skin it turns out to be an awesome addition to my entertainment center. Here is the breakdown! Graphics: If you are moving from the original xbox or xbox one to the series x you will notice a huge difference in graphics even on a TV that isn't built for 4K viewing. If you are moving from the One X to the Series X you will notice some changes only to the games that are built or Optimized for the Series X but all games feel better with the speed ... MoreThis console is what they say it is and more! If you are moving from the One X to the Series X you will notice some changes only to the games that are built or Optimized for the Series X but all games feel better with the speed you gain. Overall the Series X is on par to compete with most gaming PC's that are currently out there and once developers start taking advantage of everything the Series X has to offer I will be surprise if it doesn't beats some gaming PC's on the market today. Right now I give the graphics 4.8 out of 5 stars but will probably be 5 stars within a year.' Speed: Only gaming PC's that have the new PCI4.0 SSD's are as fast loading as the Series X with its games. To have a game load within 15 seconds that normally would take 60s or more on other gen xbox's is beautiful!! And that isn't even talking about the games that support the awesome "quick resume" feature. This feature is something that you don't know you wanted till you start using it!! The quick resume alone is a selling point for Microsoft and their Series X/S consoles. Speed is beautiful in a world that is always moving. I would give the speed a 5 out of 5 star!! If they can learn to make the loading times even faster then boy are we in for some great experiences in the future! Games: This is where, as of now, I have to say I wish there was more to offer! Game Pass alone is awesome for those who are new to xbox. They will have 100's of games available the day they turn on their console that they could experience for the 1st time and that is by far better than any gaming console on the market today. However, if you are looking for exclusive games that are new look great and feels great then there currently isn't much being offered by Microsoft. With their dozens of gaming studios they purchased over the past 5 or so years lets hope that is about to change and come E3 2021 we finally get a list of games that will make anyone want to go out and buy a Series X!!

I've had an Xbox one since 2014 and never had to deal with their support until I purchased a controller. This was not a regular controller it was called "Elite 2" and it was the best one out. I payed over $200 dollars for it and thats something I would never do, $200 is alot of money but I've had problems with their regular controllers every couple years so I thought if I buy this one I'll never have it go bad on me. When I set up the controller and started playing with it I was very impressed with it, it was working better than any one that I've used before. After about 8-10 hours of use I noticed the left joystick kept drifting. I thought it was maybe a setting so I tried resetting everything, when nothing helped I went online to see if there was a way to fix it. ... MoreI've had an Xbox one since 2014 and never had to deal with their support until I purchased a controller. After about 8-10 hours of use I noticed the left joystick kept drifting. I thought it was maybe a setting so I tried resetting everything, when nothing helped I went online to see if there was a way to fix it. Turns out this was a problem for alot of users because I had no problem finding chats and threads about other people having the same problem. I called into Microsoft support because the controller had a warranty on it for one year. After trying several times and getting either disconnected or waiting for 1to2 hours just to be told there wS nothing I can do. I kept trying to speak to supervisors because there was no way my new controller that I activated on the Microsoft warranty website won't be covered. Once I wS able to wear them down from trying to deny me I finally got someone to say send it in and we'll have someone look at it and fix or replace it. (All this took about 3 weeks)When I sent in the controller they said only send the actual controller no buttons or anything else which I did. 2 weeks later the sent me back a controller that was disassembled and said they won't cover it. Now I had nothing cuz the controller was not functional. I kept calling back and saying that they should have fixed it but instead they made it worse. They denied taking the controller apart and not sending back the face plate. After dealing with them for the last 3 months now back and forth trying to either get my controller fixed or replaced or even money back I gave up im taking the $200 loss but will never again buy a Microsoft or Xbox product I never thought that a company was capable of treating people like. I have been a consumer for 30 years and never encountered this kind of deceit. For the rest of my life I will continue whenever possible to inform everyone and anyone of my experience. My life's goal is now to show how awful it is to deal with Microsoft.

This is an okay console for gaming and exclusives but if you want a more stable experience the PS4 is more consistent when it comes to even basic things such as being able to connect to the internet. This is my second Xbox and it literally will not connect to my WiFi no matter how much I trouble shoot, change my DNS settings, attempt to set it up with WPS. This console is a serious frustration and let down when it comes to just connecting to the internet. Unless you can hardline your Xbox I probably wouldn’t recommend this console for online gaming, it’s quite terrible about randomly disconnecting even in those rare instances it works as it’s supposed to. Microsoft seriously oversells this console and basically lies on their website about it being a 4K gaming console. It upscales to 4K with checkerboarding, which is hardly true 4K. If I could go back I’d save my money. Xbox is more and more subpar as the generations progress. Not to mention it’s a complete add ware machine. Pretty unacceptable from a corporation with the resources like Microsoft has. Pathetic console performance overall and sub par internet capabilities. Definitely not worth.

The XB1s made me Xbox fan for life
30 June 2021

My wife bought me this console on a black friday special in 2018 and I mainly wanted it to play 4k Blu Ray movie disks however having owned a Xbox 360 Which is still a fun this console is awesome . It's not as powerful as the XB1X model but not having native 4k isn't a deal breaker by any means. Connect this tons good quality 4k tv with HDR ist perfect. Gaming does support HDR which is more impressive on its own then 4k resolution. This is a fantastic Ultra HD movie player and streaming app playback in 4k as well . Looking forward to getting the new series s/x this Christmas but this console is fun . Updates are required off and on but that happens even with playstation whether digital or with game discs system updates are a must eventually . Internet is alot more ... MoreMy wife bought me this console on a black friday special in 2018 and I mainly wanted it to play 4k Blu Ray movie disks however having owned a Xbox 360 Which is still a fun this console is awesome . Internet is alot more affordable even 50 - 75 mbs is plenty of speed . I've played this console a good amount and have never had any issues other than hdmi cable wearing out .. so off picture ever looks weird or flickering just know after a few years the cable needs replacement but that's ok . There like $15 or less .. I recommend using a 2.1 hdmi cable it should hold up better than the original one the system comes with a fantastic gift for any occasion . I recommend Xbox game pass for $15 a month a bunch of games to play it's so worth it for the price . If you can't get your hands on a series s this console is still excellent option .

They encourage theft !!
27 March 2022

I had money stolen from me, somebody used my card number hooked it up to their Xbox account and bought over $600 worth of Xbox live, Xbox games and Xbox gold premium whatever the hell that is. I called Microsoft spoke to a couple of people even spoke to a manager, they confirmed that my card number was on a profile with Xbox I explain to them that I don’t have a profile with Xbox I don’t even own an Xbox and I’ve never owned an Xbox, they informed me that they could not remove my card my debit card from my bank account from this random persons account because I didn’t have this random person‘s email address or this random person‘s phone number. So therefore I couldn’t access their account even though they are using my money, and my card to buy stuff on their ... MoreI had money stolen from me, somebody used my card number hooked it up to their Xbox account and bought over $600 worth of Xbox live, Xbox games and Xbox gold premium whatever the hell that is. So therefore I couldn’t access their account even though they are using my money, and my card to buy stuff on their account. I think this is extremely unprofessional, encourages fraud behavior, encourages theft behavior because all this does is protect the thief, and does nothing to the person that has been stolen from. I am $600 out of pocket, I do not have a lot of money and that is more than half of my rent I will be facing eviction in a few days if I can’t get this money backMicrosoft and Xbox both just tell me there’s nothing they can do since I am not the account holder even though the account holder is using my card on their account without permission without consent and is blatantly stealing hundreds of dollarsI don’t understand why they can’t just remove my card from the persons account, or maybe flag the persons account To prevent them from making further transactionsI think that it’s extremely unprofessional, that there’s absolutely nothing they can do even though I can provide the full card number the Security code the address and the name But they can’t just remove my card I had to completely disable my card , and then actually completely change checking accounts , because it keeps approving pending transactions from two days ago so now my bank account went from spending five hundred dollars to negative three hundred dollars so all in all this person is spent over eight hundred dollars on Xbox live and Microsoft has dont legit nothing to help me in order to get my money that was legitimately stolen from my account
