The Microsoft product that Best Buy sells does not work on Apple desktop computers. Once sold by Best Buy, they wash their hands of the sale. As a result, you have to purchase the proper Microsoft Office software package from Microsoft. The cost is $400.00. Note they do credit the purchase price you paid from Best Buy. Based on the conversation it sounds like they already know Best Buy is selling a Microsoft software product that doesn’t work. With that in mind, don’t buy any software products from Best Buy. Best Buy Tech including geek squad tech are clueless and the store manager is of no help. It is best to buy most Apple products and all Apple software from Apple.

This is an excellent choice over the Office version as it does not include some of the programs that many people will never use. I opted for this instead of the 365 Version as I see no reason to update these programs every year and pay for the annual update price which matches the initial purchase. Also I do not need 5 licenses, I do have two computers this could be used on but really only use one regularly. The other computer is merely a backup system. The install is easy all that is needed is personalizing the quick menu with the icons for frequently used features, i.e. save as, set print area and so forth. Also to identify the directory where you want to save your files and set up your printer(s) - note it defaults to One Note so be sure to change this.

Had a horrible experience. I bought this a year ago and was never told that the link had an expiration. I went to download this product I bought for $150.00 just to be told the link is no longer active. After speaking to 5 different agents and being on the phone for 1 hr 6 min. I get told that this can only be resolved if I spend an extra $39.99 to speak to a tier 2 agent. So not that this can't be resolved, but I have to spend $39.99 for it to be resolved after already spending $150.00. My other option was to spend an extra $179.99 to buy the total tech plan. Once again, after already spending $150.00 to buy this product. I just got someone this week to set up the laptop, however, I no longer have the Product Key Code for this software, which supposedly expired in 15 days, which I wasn’t aware of. They should tell you that when you buy it or label it on the display. I have now given Best Buy $150 and they won't do anything to make it right, despite being a long time customer. They know this because I have a credit card with them where I have bought a fridge, a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, so many tvs I can't even count.. I've spent thousands on electrics. They could've given me a gift card for the $150 I am out after hearing that I almost died and lost my job, but no. And I know that they don't have to - they don't owe me anything because I was sick, but they should make it right that they are seeking a non- refundable item and not telling people.
