Can be a nightmare to get dual monitors working using the dock, many posts on Microsoft forums of users with same issues. We have two Surface 2 Laptops and 2 Surface 2 docks, both have issues displaying both external monitors. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, sometimes one is blank sometimes the other is blank sometimes both are blank, disconnect and reconnect dock gives a different result most times. Using USB-C to HDMI cables from here as well. I've had to setup one user with one monitor to the Laptop and one to the Dock and you still have to disconnect/reconnect every time after boot.

Great design, does everything I expected it to do. Cables are easily long enough for a typical desk set-up. Something to be aware of is external monitors need to be USBc compatible, or a USBc adapter will be needed if you have a non USBc display that you want to extend your desktop to

Another MS Product that is overly priced, and is standard on most new lap tops rather than being an extra. Also need the more expensive MS Adapters to also make it work. Necessary if you want 4K from your MS Surface. Pros: This allows USB-C connectivity whereas previous Adapter (also this price range) used mini-displayport. Cons: High price tag for what it does.

Works like a charm! I have two 4k screens a mic and a 4k cam plugged into it and it's perfect. The only issues are: *after a couple of hours, both the dock and my computer run hot *the entire unit is super bulky

MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO IS THE GO

Since owning my Microsoft Surface Pro my life has improved dramatically because I can do more things now & the dock provides the tools to assist in making this happen. I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a change to definitely go Microsoft Surface Pro! Cheers

Simple to connect and disconnect

This only makes sense as a docking station for a Surface device but if you have one of those, I don't know why you would mess around with anything else. You might save a few dollars but you'd miss out on simplicity. Connecting everything through the power adaptor is one of the smartest moves Microsoft have made in many a year. It's magnetic and attaches easily - without the wear that often bedevils USB connectors. There are ample (for me!) ports and it enables me to run 2 external monitors at different locations and move seamlessly between them.

Terrible device. Don’t buy.

This device has serious issues. Monitors connected via USB-C don’t always wake up when the Surface Pro goes into sleep mode. It has been replaced once and I’m seriously considering returning it. You have been warned. Surface Dock 1 via Mini DisplayPort is flawless but this one has issues and Microsoft have no answers. I have wasted days trying to get it to work as advertised.

Works well but limited usability

Makes the computer charge better than the cable supplied, however I've now had to purchase additional adapters so I can use my HDMI cabled screens which I also use for work using a hub that requires HDMI cables. Shame that it doesn't provide appropriate slots to attach common equipment.
