Had to replace my previous laptop in a hurry (burglary). Good price, good features and function. Lightweight, very portable. Seems to do all I expect in a breeze. Love the startup. Press the on button, to fully on, in a matter of seconds. Only down side is the minimal connections (one USB-C, one USB) so had to buy a couple of devices to get around that. otherwise very happy.

Laptop crashed after approximately one month of use. It would open and not make it to the log in screen, instead it would remain stuck until the battery ran out. It would not turn off or respond to keyboard shortcuts. There are similar reviews online so I know it was not something I did.

I have had this laptop for a year now. It is pretty good but it heats up quickly and randomly lags. Although it is touchscreen as well, it can get abit glitchy if used in a prolonged use of time. The battery life is decent at first, but months after using it it can only last 1 hr. It dies quickly, i regret buying this laptop

I'm delighted with my new laptop. It's compact, lightweight and fast. I was looking for a portable laptop which wasn't going to compromise on quality and this one certainly delivers. It's my first Microsoft laptop and I'm very impressed with the functionality. Setup was very easy and the whole experience has been trouble free, just as it should be. The John Lewis 3 year warranty allowed me to buy with confidence.
Recently upgraded my laptop and I've not been disappointed. It's a great bit of kit - does everything I need quickly and I bought the version with a larger hard drive to try to future proof this as I have a lot of photos. The additional warranty you get from purchasing from John Lewis is a big bonus. Would definitely recommend.
Purchased for my daughter who needed new laptop for senior school. She chose based on the colour. After a week of use, the light weight in her school bag combined with being able to keep up with loading graphics in class has made her really happy. Only downside is that it does overheat very quickly even when using on a school desk. She now carries a cooling pad in her schoolbag.
Bought the Microsoft Surface Laptop for my daughter for Uni. She absolutely loves it. The sleek lines, the colour and the performance and efficiency expected from Microsoft. It is amazingly thin and lightweight and fits nicely into her bag for Uni and, if that's not enough, it has great battery life. My daughter also loves the touchscreen which she says is "Sick"!
Bought this for my daughter who is used to an iPad. Really lovely next step for her school/uni work. Lightweight, good battery, easy set-up and the touch screen element alongside a more traditional laptop works brilliantly. Very happy.
Ideal small laptop with a spec suitable for the majority of uses that an i5 and integrated graphics can cope with. High quality build and looks more expensive than it is. If it had a backlit keyboard and a few more ports it would the perfect device but then it wouldn't be such a small inexpensive computer!
A nice looking and light weight computer. The screen is a little more 'square' than I was expecting but it is a good display and easy to work with. The quality of the machine seems good, not so many ports but you can survive easily enough with an adaptor. The mouse pad is a little clunky but I guess this is by design. A good machine for a reasonable price.
