I bought this item (windows 11 home usb flash drive) in store. The first time I turned my pc on, windows installed and did its thing. everything was fine, right? well, i eventually turned my pc off and had it off for the rest of the night. Whenever I went to turn it on the night after, it had somehow changed itself to Windows 10, instead of 11 (only issue with that is, I could not press the home button or use the search bar on the taskbar). I did eventually get it fixed after a little bit of a hassle

I got taken for $140 on this item. Even though my computer meets all the requirements to upgrade, it wouldn’t let me upgrade because my processor is not on their approved list. Now since I attempted to install the software, the store I purchased it at won’t allow me to return it even though the customer service person on the phone told me I could. Take that back, I got taken for $150 because I wasted gas going back up to the store to return it. Don’t know if this new operating system works or not but buyer beware.

You can install windows 10/11 cheaper with a little research online but they all need another computer to download install media on a flash drive. My only computer’s motherboard went bad and this was my best option. Fast and easy instillation. I haven’t checked myself but was told this is a retail version, meaning I can swap parts or even computers without voiding windows’ license.

It's a box, a USB stick, a license card, and many gigabytes of software. What could it possibly be? Windows! Windows! Windows!Disclaimer: I use Windows to only play games. For work I use Fedora Linux. I do not trust Microsoft. I made this tradeoff because I the games I like are not available on other platforms.Installation was simple, even when you don't want to give Windows all of your storage (I duel boot Linux). I am aware of WSL2 - but again, I don't trust Microsoft. My biggest complaint is the amount of post install work that I needed to (and continue to) have to do to disable the feature and removing the apps that I don't want. Setting up the privacy and permissions controls is a chore. There is non-stop nagging, begging and desperate pleading to just try the uninstallable Edge. Cleaning out all the privacy violating third party links and apps (for example, all of the Meta/Facebook corporation apps and links) is tedious. The extra spam messages imploring me to "get started using OneDrive" that I get in my email box is also another bad touch.Once again Microsoft has "redesigned" the user interface to "give it a modern look." Really tedious.A positive: it mostly gets out of the way when I boot it to play a game.
It's Windows. It's a familiar operating system. This product includes a license key for Windows 11 inside the packaging, as well as a bootable windows 11 installation USB stick. For reasons I'm not techy enough to understand, one of the partitions in my NVMe SSD card was unhealthy in the first two installs from the bootable USB stick and the OS kept Blue Screen of Death-ing. But the third time all the partitions were healthy and I haven't had a BSOD since.
I haven't built a new computer since 2014 and technology has changed quite a bit. If I hadn't had a friend tell me the Windows comes on a thumb drive now I would have been so confused by the lack of a disk. But it installed from the thumb drive seamlessly and hasn't glitched at all. There was a bit of a learning curve from Win10 to Win11 but not too hard to figure out if you are willing to poke around a bit. The power "button" is in a completely different place, for instance. But it doesn't talke long to get used to the changes.
It Windows. Just like any other version there is new stuff to complain about. Although the OneDrive integration seems to go a bit too far. Had reinstall it just to tell it to not backup Documents and Pictures to the cloud just so that I could have the shortcuts in file explorer work. Also, Start All Back is a must have.Other than that this is the most cohesive and put together windows since 7. The new settings are finally approaching parity with control panel. I can see this being remembered as the best windows version in a while once they stop toeing the line with Anti-Trust.
Windows 11 features a modernized user interface with a new Start menu and taskbar design, which is centered by default but can be moved to the left if desired. The new design features rounded corners and a cleaner look, which is consistent across apps and system elements. There is also a new Snap Layouts and Snap Groups feature that allows users to easily arrange and switch between multiple apps and windows.Under the hood, Windows 11 features improved performance and battery life optimizations, with faster startup times and more efficient power usage. Microsoft has also added new security features, including Windows Hello improvements and integrated support for hardware-based security features like TPM 2.0.
I never thought I'd pay for Microsoft Windows operating system but Windows 10 really makes me like Microsoft again. It's easy and intuitive to use and OneDrive is really good. I used to be a Microsoft Windows fan through Windows XP but they lost me after that and I became an Apple convert. Only after working with Windows 10 at my employer did I start to see that Microsoft was back in the game and OneDrive was a big part of it. Windows 10 makes Windows XP and before users feel back at home again. This USB installation thumb drive saved me from throwing out a perfectly good laptop PC which needed it's own operating system rather than the corporate-locked Windows copy already installed on it. I'm all for paying for licensed software and when it's reasonably priced, all the better. Thanks B&H for offering this product and making it easy for me to keep an older laptop running and viable. Thanks Microsoft for bringing Windows back to those of us that were big fans of it through Windows XP...it's nice to be home again.
I liked the a of the Windows 11 Home - USB Flash Drive - English, greater than using a DVD to install Windows 11. It was fast, easier, and takes up less storage space for the drive. This item fits the purpose. I'm impressed. My next install will be from a flash drive from Microsoft. If I were to recommend this to a friend, I would. It was a good deal.
