Good German Made product. Wished I bought earlier

Had looked at a lot of sponsored reviews for various vacuums online, and found some unbiased reviews ranking it the highest. Close friend bought one for her house - and I tried it and it is as good as my Swedish corded vacuum. The Dog and Cat version has better air filtering than the standard, the same air filtering as the Pro version. I don't need the extra battery of the pro - so it is a good deal.Wished I had bought earlier. Good Vacuum. I ABHOR emptying debris bin. Need extra battery.

I would give 3 1/2 stars. Good vacuum tho I intentionally avoid allowing it to suction long hair, pet fur, 'dust bunnies' and lint because I abhor emptying the debris receptacle/bin. Sounds like it defeats the purpose doesn't it? I'm still glad I purchased the vacuum. It's better than a dust-mop tho the trade off for being cordless is the debris receptacle/bin design. it needs to have a bag. It feels very unclean to empty the debris bin--you have to use your fingers to pull out refuge that doesn't fall out on its own when you invert and tap the receptacle; ucch. As you vacuum, debris gets balled together, hung up and wrapped around the cylindrical filter centered inside the bin. The filter obstructs and hinders the the way-out of the hair, etc when it's the to empty. If the filter was not placed inside the dust bin, debris may just slide right out into your waste can. And cleaning the filter is even more disgusting. You pull out the filter, tap it on the side of a waste can and very fine dirt falls/flies out of it-gross. The overall design is good for teeny particles, bad idea for hair, etc due to the filter smack in the middle of the debris bin. And, you need an extra battery to more than a couple rooms cleaned.

Power, price and brand reputation were my main criteria when researching a replacement stick vacuum.I'm very happy with the power - it does a great job on both carpet and wooden floors, comparable with a cabled vacuum. It sucks a lot of dust! The nifty light really shows the dirt and I was astounded at the dust along the edges of walls.Once you've figured out how to empty it, it's pretty straight forward, including cleaning the filter. And you'll need to empty it regularly - it cleans a lot more than my old stick. The charger turns off 10 minutes after it's fully charged to avoid damaging the battery, and there's a charge indicator on the front of the stick so that you can see how much power you have left. I'm yet to exhaust the power whilst using it, and have only really needed to use it on low power. The tubes are a challenge (stiff) to slot together and take apart, and I'm hoping that they loosen over time. Silicone spray may help. Anyone with mobility/strength issues will really struggle with this because it's harder to change the barrel around if you want to use it as a hand held.Because I currently have nowhere to wall mount it, I need to have the barrel at the bottom because that is the only position in which the stick will stand independently whilst not in use. It's heavier than my previous stick, but that's the pay off if you want a more powerful model. Assembling with the barrel at the bottom does mitigate the weight.I can't comment on build quality (hence a 4 star review) after only a couple of weeks of use, but I was surprised that the stick is plastic - I hope that isn't an issue long term. My previous stick was metal.Overall, I'm very happy with my choice and I can tell that it does a fantastic job, as my 13 year old son will use it without complaint.Of final note, I ordered one day, and received it the next from friendly and efficient delivery drivers.

High expectations not quite met.
2 June 2022

This vacuum does clean well and I love the LED lights which show up dog hair and dust that I would not otherwise be able to see. This product will only self-stand in 1 of the 3 possible configurations. If it were to fall I fear that the clear dust container would crack or altogether shatter. It takes all my strength to actually pull apart the clips in order to reconfigure it. The crevice tool that comes with the unit is too short to be useful.

Maria's review of Miele Triflex HX1 Pro Cordless Vacuum Cleaner - Grey
13 May 2021

Pros: When used as a plain old vacuum cleaner for floors and carpets, it is absolutely brilliant. Great and adjustable suction, light, highly manouevrable, and a decent battery life.Cons: For anything EXCEPT the plain old vacuum cleaner, the design is heartbreakingly rubbish. It's fiddly to empty the bin and remove and clean the filter. It's incredibly difficult to decouple the motor section from the main upright section - you have to push a button quite hard and at the same time pull apart the two pieces (one of which is very difficult to get a grip on) at an inconvenient angle. And it doesn't work at all well with the attachments. The small brush is very poorly angled for cleaning things like skirting boards, and it's almost impossible to use the vacuum to clean ... MorePros: When used as a plain old vacuum cleaner for floors and carpets, it is absolutely brilliant. It feels as though Miele designed a great cordless motor and outsourced the rest of the design to a not very gifted GCSE Design & Technology class. A real disappointment.

Especially pleased with this cordless vacuum cleaner. Love that it’s manufactured in Germany and not China. Replacement batteries are available to purchase should I need to in the future. Quiet but powerful to use, easily manoeuvrable and straightforward to empty. Stands up on its own without falling over and only takes up a small space in my cupboard. Overall a very good buy

Not great if you have a dog(s) that sheds
16 July 2022

For reference I have an Australian Shepard and Border Collie. As much as I wanted to love this vacuum it is not dog friendly. I clean my vacuum roller every time I use it and it stops spinning. Then when you try and pull out the roller it won’t come out. It did 3x and that was it. I even tried to unscrew everything to remove the cover but it won’t come off because of the wheel. Trying to pull the top to clean around the filter is extremely hard to get out to clean out the dirt. I am someone who vacuum every other day, but it is more work than it should be. Also it doesn’t do great on rugs or carpet it, the roller stops as well. If you don’t have pets, small dog, or a dog that doesn’t shed. It will most likely be perfect for you.But for people who have dog(s) ... MoreFor reference I have an Australian Shepard and Border Collie. As much as I wanted to love this vacuum it is not dog friendly. Overall happy with this purchase.- It felt heavier than expected so I removed a star.*The light at the end is a surprisingly cool feature that helps you see closely when you are cleaning.*easy to maneuver*works on a variety of surfaces*assortment of attachments*set up was easy and can charge tucked away in small space like a closet* it works well - powerful!!Note I don’t expect to clean my entire house with the cordless Miele since I still think the classic turbo team canister Miele is better for hardwood floors. I will use the cordless vac for quick cleans and smaller spaces.

Vacuum made ease with confidence of German made

Amazing price by David Jones made this stick vacuum possible to afford. I opted for the runner model as it comes with dual battery which will come handy when main battery dies. It does the job with little efforts, I have a tile floor and it does my whole house and outside in single run with lowest setting, its not loud so my toddler is not afraid. The bin box is large enough although I clean every alternate days. The motorhead comes with the LED light which is added advantage, moreover I am assured for the quality as its all German made, which assures that this product will last long. I know there is new model HX2 but while comparing I found not much of a difference hence with such an amazing price deal this was never to be missed. It is very easy to use, works very efficiently. Good to clean carpets and hard floor. very handy for everyday quick cleaning. Battery charges within 4 hours. Running time, which I collected is 40 to 45 minutes, even though its Running time is stated 60 minutes in description which is bit of disappointment. otherwise I'm very happy with the product. Its light weight, easy to handle.
