This machine was my first experience using heat pump after switching over from a vented dryer from a cheaper brand. I was immediately impressed by the build quality, volume of the drum and performance. My laundry was smooth and crinkle free (I even caught myself trying to remember if I had ironed the sheets). I understand some reviewers saying the laundry is still wet: it is 97% dry using “Normal,” which for me is the perfect level as by the time you fold it, it is dried completely and the weight prevents wrinkling. The energy efficiency is just a bonus. Give the fragrance flacons a miss though.

Pros: Solid build. Had a Grundig heat pump and that was flimsy in comparison.Quiet, just works perfectly. Towels and bedding come out with no creases, and shirts just with soft ones. Cons: Yes, it would be nice if it had WiFi to get notifications but you pay a lot more for that convenience.I find the dryness of some programmes needs to be adjusted, which it can.Not sure about effectiveness of fragrances.

I was hesistant in purchasing my first dryer after reading negative reviews about dryer, taking too long to dry, not drying or rolling into a ball with bed sheets, how wrong this dryer exceeded my expectations and more what more could I say is energy efficent I hardly noticed any difference in my energy consumption bill only using a few cents for 2 to 3 hours worth of drying, clothes come out dry and soft especially towels and bed sheets comes out dry but a bit wrinkly, but I noticed if I fold the bed sheets straight away after taking it out from the dryer whilst is still warm it kind of iron it self out. This dryer worked fine and it seemed like a great product initially. We particularly like the lint filter and condenser protection filter, which are good quality, work well and are easy to clean. Then the touch screen display control panel stopped working only after 3 months of use. We can’t change the menu on the screen. What’s even more annoying is that the dryer touch screen sometimes works - very randomly. We think our dryer has a faulty display panel as our matching Miele washing machine is still working fine without any problems so far. We're waiting for the service centre guy to visit us, which is scheduled in about 2 weeks. (no complaints about customer service itself, they were very helpful). Nonetheless, the whole situation is very inconvenient having to ... MoreThis dryer worked fine and it seemed like a great product initially. We're waiting for the service centre guy to visit us, which is scheduled in about 2 weeks. (no complaints about customer service itself, they were very helpful). Nonetheless, the whole situation is very inconvenient having to live without the dryer. We’re also extremely disappointed that Miele product failed so easily, considering the price tag and brand recognition. We would not recommend this product. It failed way to quick compared to our old different brand dryer, which at least lasted for 7 years.
It is different from a normal dryer, sometimes when you take the laundry out it feels like it might be damp but when you get it out of the machine it is not. Quite strange. Cycles do take a lil longer when clothes are very wet, but just allow the time. It’s worth it. With low running costs and no condensation through out the laundry. The pre-iron setting is very effective.
Pros: You can tell unboxing it that it is a quality item, heavy, robust and everything just feels built to last.Has a handy built in drainage hose that we connected to the waste water to avoid empty water drawer every time. Super easy to use with 1 dial and simple obvious options. We previously owned another premium tumble dryer that had heat pump and took ages to dry clothes, the Miele in comparison is considerably quicker. The fragrance capsules really do leave your clothes smelling great for weeks. Cons: When we purchased it the warranty was 2 years, for a appliance of this price point we would expect 5 year. It did not stop us buying it as a friends Miele is currently 27 years old and still working howevert 2 years warranty is still disappointing.
I cannot believe how fast this dryer works. I replaced my 13 year old Miele condenser dryer with this one simply because I was buying a new washing machine and the 10 year warranty was too good to pass on. I heard rumours about heat pumps not drying and taking too long to dry so I was a little worried but I get a full load of thick towels dried in about 55 minutes. It is almost half the time that my condenser dry took. The dryer is so simple to operate and the filters are easy to access and clean. The only drawback from my cats point of view is that there in no hot air coming out of the vents at the bottom so he has lost his heating duct and the bench no longer gets warm either. Great for me in summer keeping the laundry cooler but the cat is not impressed.
Pros: Contrary to all the reviews on heat pump dryers, which nearly put me off buying this one, it is an efficient, quiet machine. It dries as quickly as my last convector one (also a Miele -lasted 20 years) and can highly recommend it. The added benefit of lighting inside the drum means you can find that single damp sock stuck in a formerly dark corner! Cons: Really really simple machine that does what it says on the tin. I suppose it could iron as well?
I bought this drier having done my research and it was the worst purchase I have ever made. It wasn't drying clothes completely and I had to hang them out on the rack to finish off the drying process. I have since been told by Appliances Online that this dryer only dries the clothes 60%. Wish they had told me that in the review!
We've only had the dryer a month, and so far we're very happy with this dryer. My mum has one, which was why I started looking at it. I read a lot of reviews before purchase - the good and bad. From what I was reading, the problems people were having related to not using the appliance as stated in the instructions. Its quieter than I expected. Does a good drying job. And we live in a very humid climate, so I'm loving the fact that there is no additional wet hot air in the laundry.
