I bought that cooktop as a replacement for the same dimensional size Miele gas Cooktop thinking that replacement would be a breeze and require only the electrical work. How wrong I was! Hence 1/2 star reduction. The 1/4 star reduction comes from a lack of information that the cooktop has to be dead-level to work well for all cookware: pans and pots! I found some cabinet shims, but that does affect how it looks visually. I am not sure if Miele has some shims for that. I will have to follow this up when I have some more time. The last 1/4 of the star reduction is for not supplying recommended settings for people who convert from other cooking technologies. It should be a 2-page pamphlet about what is best.
