HORRIBLE TO BUILD! Had another person helping me make the bed frame, and this was both our first time building a Gas Lift. This genuinely took years off my life with how horrible the instructions are written. Some pictures aren't labelled, or even indicate what the step is - it's just a photo and you have to figure it out and hope for the best.I spent too long building and re-building the frame because the instructions were not clear and then parts didn't fit for the Gas Lift metal frame. The corners for the metal lift would not connect, and we tried hammering, and banging them in but they would get caught by small ridges. I had to burn these off to get the parts fit. It was the only way to get the ridges off, so here I am burning, inhaling these plastic fumes on ... MoreHORRIBLE TO BUILD! This took me six hours, including modifying the parts. If you have built a Gas Lift bed before it may be easier, but if you haven't. Genuinely, good luck.I nearly cried of relief when the bed was finished. The actual Gas Lift I do like, the storage space is enough for me, but if you are a couple or sharing it - it may not be big enough. The bottom is a tarp/woven sheet, so I don't recommend putting on the bed frame legs. If you put anything heavier than 2kgs it'll fall straight through. The bottom sheet is attached by Velcro, so if you have carpet like me, let's hope it doesn't rip the floor up.The bed board is pretty small, I feel like I'm in the princess and the pea.Anyway, if you hate yourself and want to be tortured, I would recommend building this bed.

Got this on discount, amazing value - would have been happy even if this was purchased full price. Instructions were not the most straightforward-recommend reading through the entire thing and getting familiar with all the parts before starting so you don't mess up. Other than that, everything fits well - bed does not creak and gas lift works well for the price. Very impressed with this overall!!

Beautiful bed! Definitely needs two people to assemble tho. It's quite light even though it's solid wood. Looks great in our spare room. Only thing, the base is made of cloth and it's quite flimsy which doesn't attach properly or offer much support/protection, and I wish the headboard was higher. Apart from that, very nice addition offering heaps of storage space!

The bed is fine, wasn't too difficult to put together (definitely need two people). The headboard colour was lighter in colour than expected and the material looked thin and cheapish (had crease marks on it).The piece of material which is supposed to be the storage flooring did not fit and when we tried to stretch it over, it ripped. My biggest disappointment is that Myer had this listed as a sale item when everywhere else it's a standard price. Really misleading from Myer as I wouldn't have purchased this otherwise and makes me think twice about shopping here again.
Very good for the money you pay, great way to clear up floor space for the items not regularly used & very easy to access.Took maybe 30mins to put together slowly, very easy, had basic tools you might need included.lifts up easy & once you have a heavy mattress on goes down easy.we found it a bit low and hence the space under is limited (depends on how much space you expect) so we threw in some 120x40mm cheap pine timber under with some bunting it & its solid as.
Delivered in two boxes with paper instructions. The instructions were not 100% clear with some confusion over which metal bars were which, as the holes did not exactly line up, but we figured it out in the end. Easy to put together once you knew what you were putting together. The ground sheet is not quite long enough and we tore the fabric slightly attempting to get the velcro onto the base of the bed.Surprisingly the bed itself is not too difficult to lift onto its side.Once a mattress is on, it operates well, is quiet and not too squeaky.Easy to assemble with 2 people.
Nice bed, terrible instructions. Experienced with putting together flat packs and in the last few months put together a similar bed but a double. The instructions on this are terrible.Basically you are going on the pictures but they omit holes and pieces. The bed itself looks quite nice and the storage underneath is good.
Product was easy to assemble. The colour is a lot lighter than the advertised picture but still nice. The gas struts didn't work so we were unable to connect or use them. There were a couple of minor tears in the internal covering. The bed looks good and comfortable, but it doesn't have the gas lift function operational. Hopefully this can address and resolve this issue as it will be to unwieldy to return.
Looks gd, but I certainly wouldn’t buy it again knowing what I know now.If you weigh more than 40 kg and have a normal thickness single mattressdon’t buy it. It’s not for an adult. The supports for the mattress keep coming out ofthe sleeves. When my son sits on the bed, the supports fall out and don’t support him.If I make the bed and put my hand. On the mattress to support myself while making the bedmy hand forces the supports to fall out. I feel when my son grows and gets around 50 kg,the frame will NOT Support him. It’s just a matter of time until the supports break and he ends iebreak and he ends up on the floor.
It looks ok, but the supports for the mattress keep coming out of their sleeves. My son weighs anout 40kgs and haas a thin mattress and the suppers keep coming out when he sits on the bed. If he had a normal sized mattress not wouldn’t support the weight. I can’t sit on the bed as it feels like it will break. Not very happy
