I’ve used quite a few Milescraft products over the years and have always been very happy with them so I was excited when I saw this kit. While you may say it is just a fancy router base it is much more and very versatile. It can be used to cut grooves, dados, mortise and tenons, tongue and grove and many more cuts without the use of a router table. While I haven’t been able to use it for all these uses I did try a few out and while it’s not as quick as a router table it is more versatile especially on larger boards and longer pieces. If you’re looking for a versatile router base that won’t break the bank give this a try.

Using it on a smaller router so it may be why Im having this issue, seemed a bit flimsier than ideal. I wanted this for doing a specific distance cut and it worked okay but I had issues with consistent depth due to the weakness of the plastic and plate lockup. You need a very solid surface so right angle guide will stay at a perfect right angle the whole way through. This would be great if they made one more compact for smaller routers. Good enough but high price for what you get.

Everything about this is flimsy, floppy and cheap. The adusting mechanisms are all loose even when tightened down. The thing has a quality control sticker that supposedly checked for tightness in the centering bearing. Which is a JOKE, because theres almost a full 1/8” of play between it and the centering pin. The centering pin is made of cheap plastic that easily flexes. Getting the router centered is impossible. This is a good product for the price. It fit my BOSCH 1617EVS router. With all the mounting slots on it, I would imagine it fits almost any make of router. This product works great in any application where you need a guide to cut slots in straight or round stock. It also contains bushings to make mortises on edges. For mortises, the stock needs to be well clamped and a steady hand will be needed to keep both bushings against the board faces and the base level with the worked plane of the board. My little Makita router came with something similar, albeit, much smaller. This guide allows me to do similar tasks with my large Bosch router. I will likely leave this part of the base permanently attached to my router. This tool is a great bang-for-the-buck item. It will allow you to do many things without having to set up a router table. Quality is pretty good. The only parts that seem a little cheap are the bushings, but high quality bushings would likely greatly increase the cost of this product. If you are doing something that requires precise, high quality bushings, they could easily be added. The base also allows for easy collar swap-outs. For the price, this is a very useful product and I definitely recommend it.

Perfect multifunctional router accessory from MilesCraft. This kit is perfect for the experienced woodworker or the new apprentice. Definitely recommend adding it to your router accessories. Perfect for your typical edges, but can also be used for making dados, mortise, profiles, rabbets, etc. fits most routers including my Makita router. Highly recommend!
I pick this up to see how the Mortise guide worked. I already have a metal edge guide for my router so do edge or dado cuts was not the draw. I will say the new base was larger making it more stable. The base screws provide did not fit the threads on my router so I used the ones with my router but needed to add washers to hold it in place. The mortise cuts were easy to make. The roller guides held everything in place. I was cutting into 3/4" stock. If I was doing a number of cuts I would have placed blocks on either side to create a broader base. The alignment arrows for the base guide are white, making them hard to see, I would have preferred they were all in black. Not a bad jig for the money.

It is unbelievably simple and intuitive to use.Initially I was concerned that locking in place various components would become difficult when plugged with sawdust, but clearing it with some compressed air or a paintbrush is all that it takes to lock back all parts upon assembly.The overmold on all threaded brass bushings has been designed with thicker surface area to serve as stress relief point.The acrylic is thick enough to withstand being bounced around a service truck or a shop, although I wouldn't recommend dropping it with a heavy-duty cycle router.Although seemingly simple, the guide is extremely helpful in both complex and simple jobs.It is a purchase totally worth making. The guide comes in a package that is sturdy on all sides and it is safe for online ordering and delivery.
This kit has everything for upping your router game. Edge guide allows you to do dado slots. You can even do mortise and tennons with this. I'm especially excited about doing that. There are a crap ton of attachments in this kit and I just scratched the surface of everything I can do with this kit. I'm excited to see what things I can create. If you are a novice or even moderately skilled woodworker, I would definitely take a look at this kit.
