This fire pit is exactly what I wanted. The size is great and the quality is excellent. I have had is fired up most nights since installing it and it burns hardwood really well. The drainage hole is also very useful.
Purchased 900 Gobi with default 100 Grill.Onset up the aesthetic of the 900 Gobi fire pit and 100 grill was ****.Returned 100 grill replaced with 900 grill.There is a design fault in that the handles are situated to high or the top of the pit. I removed the handles and welded them to the rivet band below the rim of the pit 900 grill now fits correctly and the aesthetics are now pleasing to the eye.
The Gobi 90 Rust Fire Pit is the perfect addition to our fire pit area. The rustic tone complements the white and grey features we used within our fire pit area. It had a very solid base and a wide, shallow bowl which distributes the heat eventually and looks great with the fire wood burning! We have been looking for a fire pit like this for a long time and we couldn’t be more happy with our purchase.
Good looking product, and arrived quick in this time when everything seems delayed. My one comment would be that there are no holes in the bottom of the (outdoor) unit, so for me that doesn't make a lot of sense. Holes in the bottom ensure that rain water drains out and doesn't pool in the bottom and causes further rust, and also to provide additional oxygen to the fire to improve its burn. If it had holes in the bottom that I didn't have to drill myself, I'd give it 5 stars.
