Haven’t had this for a while but reverted to using it as I loved the smell. Saw on the bottle that they have given it a new fragrance but bought it anyway hoping it wouldn’t be too far from the original …. Well it’s absolutely disgusting… it smells like mouldy, damp laundry… I even used a new cloth because I couldn’t work out what smelt so bad, but it’s the Milton spray for sure … what a shame… I’m returning this immediately and won’t buy it again…

I have used Milton spray since our son was born. Now he is a toddler there only seems to be more mess particularly at dinnertime! I was pleased to see that Milton has updated their product to be eco friendly. It is bleach free meaning our son can be around when I clean up without me worrying around what he is breathing in. The ingredients are not scary, knowing that it contains natural ingredients from plants is reassuring to any parent. The fact that the bottle is recyclable too only increases my love for this product. It is great to see that Milton are being responsible ad responsive to the environmental crisis unlike other cleaning companies. Best of all, it still cleans and leave a fresh fragrance as you would expect with any Milton product.

I have been a regular user of Milton's Anti-Bacterial Surface Spray for a good number of years, using it in preference to any other anti-bacterial disinfectant freshening spray. It had a lovely clean fresh scent and no need to rinse except for surfaces in contact with food. The new version with "100% plant-based active ingredients" is absolutely disgusting in its odour. I would go as far as to say that it makes me feel quite sick. As well as this, it seems pointless and more work to have to rinse the product off surfaces after using it, creating more work, especially in the kitchen where I use it most for a variety of surfaces (not fabrics etc). On top of this, one cannot use it on marble or limestone and all my kitchen services are marble/granite! I always have an easy grab surface spray out on my kitchen top & this is just perfect- baby proof cleaning & a subtle super fresh smell. Fab for the car seat frame, play mat, change mat, baby chair etc, plus the surface under steriliser, prep machine and so on. It doesn’t leave a residue & is strong enough to remove stains. I like the clear packaging as it blends in on my side. Another great plus for me is the natural ingredients and eco packaging which I try to find with baby products. Inexpensive environmentally-friendly addition to my cleaning collection x
Used Milton spray with our first kid and still had a bit left so didnt get round to using this until recently. It does actually smell like vomit, not a little bit like it, absolutely bang on the money and reminds you of being 17 or 18 when no one knows how much they should drink and loads of people end up spewing in the bathroom at a house party. Whoever designed this new smell needs to never work anywhere near any kind of fragrance design again.
We've gone a bit nuts for cleaning in our house in the last year and have tried all the biggest antibac names on the market. Hands down, this one is our favourite. We use it on everything - the outside and inside of the bin, on the floor when our toddler spills liquids a million times a day. The list is endless. I've heard Milton has launched one with a mint fragrance and can't wait to try it. In case you haven't seen them, Milton also does Wipes, and Tablets - which can be diluted to clean so many things. Spray and Tablets can be used against Coronavirus - which has given us huge piece of mind.
My mom always used milton, she said she always trusted that milton was powerful at killing germs and was her cleaning companion that was helping to protect her family from germs. Now that I have my own home and family I always use milton spray. I feel confident that milton spray is protecting my family. Milton are now making sure that their product also protects the environment and have become plant based while still having all the same power of protection as before. Milton is becoming more environmental conscious which is fab, the only thing milton is killing, is nasty germs.
I always loved the old formula Milton spray. Other cleaning sprays seemed to irritate my throat and never had this problem with Milton. This new formula (round bottle) doesn’t irritate my throat either however I notice that it says that it needs to be rinsed thoroughly afterwards whereas the old formula was ”no need to rinse except in surfaces in direct contact with food”. Just because it is now “plant based” it doesn’t necessarily mean it is safer or better for the environment. As others have said the new formula also has an unpleasant sour smell, I won’t be buying again!
I absolutely love the smell of this spray! Makes the whole room smell so fresh when I use it. You also get so much in the bottle and only need to use a little bit to clean even the dirtiest of surfaces! :)
We have used this spray to clean up all kinds of messes since having kids. We have used it from everything such as highchairs and changemats and now lunchboxes and cleaning up after art and craft time.The spray is light, dries quickly with no sticky residue and I find it cleans all stains really effectively. I highly recommend this product as it cleans really well with no nasty ingredients and it is safe with even the youngest child.
