Product is offered by another supplier without the rubber grip and at a higher price. I bought this as an occasional use tool. Not sure how long the rubber grip will last. I have used it a couple of times and the grip is already loose.

After using a couple of other cheap vice grips on a couple of stubborn round allen head bolts on my motorcycle, that just could not grip tight enough, I decided to spend some money on the Milwaukee with the extra torque locking grip. I am glad I did because it saved me a lot of money not having to tow my bike to the shop to have a mechanic remove the bolts and install my shifter pedal. Just goes to show you what you can do when to but a good quality tool! Thanks Milwaukee!

I hammered on these for an hour with a 5lb sledge to get a grinder tooth out of my 24" stump grinder. These things did not budge a millimeter and still clamp like they are brand new.

Bought a pair of these to hold the damper closed to the frame of an RTU while working over a cold storge warehouse to mitigate the risk for water to drop down into the return and ruin product/create a slipping hazard. These things are so good I only needed one. The grip is slip resistant, the thumb screw is a lot easier to deal with than what the competition has, and the screwdriver hole on it is a nice bonus feature. These will last me much longer than any all-metal pliers would!
My friend Ken kept his van running with Locking Pliers. Broken battery cable clamp? He put Lock-Pliers on and drove that way for years. Broken throttle link brace? Lock-Pliers!So here's to you, Ken: Lock-Pliers on my tractor battery clamp.I can't say the brand-name here, but we all know who has been the Big Name in lock-pliers for many decades. Good product; so good that there are copies everywhere. Some about as good, some not so good. Now comes Milwaukee with their 48-22-3510. Soft red grips are a nice touch. Flattened screw adjuster works fine, and now you can HANG your locking pliers. The classic release lever is replaced with an internal double-joint which really does work better (and is kinder on your fingers). Build quality looks excellent. The classic release lever is replaced with an internal double-joint which really does work better (and is kinder on your fingers). Build quality looks excellent. Feels good in the hand, and on the job. These lock-pliers are, in my opinion, better than the original Big Name that has been around for 90 years.Note that the hole isn't really for a screwdriver adjustment, that's silly. You don't adjust locking-pliers when locked, you adjust while loose and then the screw turns easily. As far as I can tell, the hole is so you can hang your Milwaukee Torque Lock on a nail.
I love these! Why didn't anyone think of this idea before (or did they and I only just discovered it)? Being able to easily adjust the tension after they are closed changes the game completely. Plus, it makes them super easy to unlock and remove. I expect quality and strength from Milwaukee and these locking pliers meet that expectation. I am amazed at how tight I can get these (a true "vise grip") without them breaking or distorting. Great tool at a reasonable price. A must have!
Used the pliers three times. Poor jaws grip and difficult to lock if "too tight".Once locked (if sucessful) then became very difficult to unlock/release.Then the adjustable arm simply popped out and would not go back into place.Returning product ASAP.Not recommended.
These pliers were the star of the show with getting my showerhead off. I had metal dust coming off because they had such a good grip. My only issue was being a female I have smaller hands and couldn't grip them when they were open, which I needed to be able to do. Other than that, they had a tight grip, good weight to them, they felt good and I didn't have them slip out of my hands thankfully.
Time will tell however initial results show high quality to be expected from Milwaukee. Do believe the rear adjustment could be a little more low profile. Will put to test against tried and true Irwin vice grips
These are made every bit as well as true Vise-grips.The rubber-clad handle offers better gripping/carrying of a heavy part, particularly with gloves on. Note however, that the rubber can slide off the handle so if you're using these for holding welded steel, be cautious until you learn at what weight the rubber starts to slip. This does not mean the rubber is on loose, as it is not, and for most users they will never experience this issue. An unfortunate trade-off for the rubber covered handles is that there is no release lever for when the pliers are locked-on to something. You must force the two handles apart - difficult if they are on very tight. For most routine use I suggest this is going to be a problem. You must force the two handles apart - difficult if they are on very tight. For most routine use I suggest this is going to be a problem. The models without rubber on the handles do have the release lever, and they work perfectly. I recommend those unhesitatingly over this version. If you want the rubber handles, and do not expect to ever use lots of clamping force, then these may work just fine for you. There are some reviews here with information that is just wrong. The red adjustment knob, or any part of the adjuster, are NOT plastic. Period. Don't take my word - put a magnet on the knob. It's metal. Also, some seem to think the ability to stick a screwdriver in the adjustment knob and add torque is the proper way to use these. It is not. The slot merely allows for adding a skosh more tension if you didn't have enough initially. It's to snug it a bit more - NOT to tighten it. If you are using these properly, you would never ever need to crank on the adjusting knob with a screwdriver. What the knob does offer is easier adjustment with gloves on, when compared with the typical low-profile knurled round knob on most other brands.
