Purchased the transfer pump in October 2023, used it once to transfer water, tried to use it again in January 2023and would not switch on. I have had this sudden failure twice on a Milwaukee 2 gallon vacuum and a skill saw.Clearly Milwaukee has a quality production problem, evident in the frequent similar complaints in the reviews.Added to this there is essentially no warranty on these products as the timeline for warranty work is 4-5 weeks andthen just repeats the problem. Replies from Milwaukee prove to be nothing more than a run around. To preserve its credibility Homedepot should discontinue selling this line. Don't buy Milwaukee!

This machine is absolutely amazing. I have used these pumps for pumping everything from diesel fuel to super thick gear oil. Pumping out old used oil and everything in between. I have had my pump for years and have never had to replace the impeller even pumping all sorts of different “no approved” fluids. I know they say only to pump water through this bad boy, but it’ll pump just about whatever you can imagine.

Great pump with a qualifier, it was a great disappoint when its performance went downhill. Caveat emptor, buyer beware.Working on an oil tanker in the middle of the ocean we don’t have the luxury of a Milwaukee service center to repair the pump. Being engineers on a ship and overhauling much bigger pumps, we performed a post mortem on the dying transfer pump.It is unfortunately that this pump cannot be overhaul by the operator. Milwaukee only provides in the U.S., parts to overhaul the impeller and nothing else. Where in Europe you can get more parts for the rest of the pump but nothing for the electric motor portion of the pump. The disassembly of the pump found that one of the DC motor carbon brushes had worn unevenly with the consequence of a sharply pointed ... MoreGreat pump with a qualifier, it was a great disappoint when its performance went downhill. Pump was purchased on sale with battery. Flood sensors detected water in by our basement drains. This unit was able to quickly handle water and pumped it through an outside window. We avoided damage to carpet and an expensive cleanup/repair. Adding quick connects and a filter are good options ( the graco paint sprayer filter works)
We had a problem with an air lock in our spring that I couldn't clear with any of my usual methods (compressed air, etc.). I went looking for a batter powered transfer pump and this Milwaukee unit showed up in my search. Since I am a rabid Red Tool owner it was a no brainer for me since I have lots of M18 batteries. The pump performed well beyond my expectations, forcing a column of water from the cistern up to the spring, some 100 feet from and above the cistern. Cleared the air lock and all is flowing as it should. The power and volumer of water this pump handles is fantastic. Highly recommended.
Works great. I use it almost on a daily basis. And it has notGive me any problems.. i did have to Change the impeller as I had some frozen.Hydraulic fluid.Break off a couple of the impellers cheap fix and I was up and running within minutes.... Product is as advertised reliable. Flexible excellent for transfer fluids
Used it to pump diesel into my skid loader from my auxiliary tank when my pump went down. It was way faster than the pump I am currently using. Highly recommend for anybody in the trades, agriculture, or anyone in the heavy equipment industry! I always have been a hard-core DeWalt guy! Very impressed! Will be looking at Milwaukee tools in the future!
We use the transfer pump to water a large amount of plants both potted and others that are in the ground with no water source. We use the pump in the summer to water the pots alone for 3 hours. Constantly with the exception of refilling the water tank. Some days the pump may run for 5 hours. The pumps have lasted for years with the exception of one which we returned for repair. We immediately received a new pump in the mail. We have three batteries we use M18 9.0. We have had the batteries for 6 and 4 years. Meaning two at 4 years and one at six. Just recently the batteries all started failing at the same time only getting 1/2 life or less. This product has been fantastic. The whole system is mounted on a golf cart. Our only complaint is the noise but we can live ... MoreWe use the transfer pump to water a large amount of plants both potted and others that are in the ground with no water source. I was looking for a transfer oump to take to my dock to pump water from the lake to my 2600 psi pressure washer. I own a ton of Milwaukee tools and batteries from 2ah-12ah. So i considered the Milwaukee transfer pump. I read many reviews ( some awful some great ) but none had mentioned anything about feeding a pressure washer. The COE will not allow you to permanently mount a pump anymore so its either AC or DC. I went ahead and opted for the Milwaukee transfer pump since i already have batteries and hoped it would work. It did in fact work and had great pressure and the outlet! I am beyond happy with its power and performance thus far. I have numerous ideas where this can come in handy. Ive read reviews where the next time i go to use it i may have issues. I will ... MoreI was looking for a transfer oump to take to my dock to pump water from the lake to my 2600 psi pressure washer. I've been extremely satisfied with M18 tool quality, prior to this pump. I used it twice, charging a radiant heat system, and like others, struggled to get more than 18-20 PSI out of it. Second, for transfer of my sap for my maple syrup operation. Second time out in the woods with it, it started refusing to start when I activated the power switch. I don't think I've got an hour of operation on this unit. Went through the troubleshooting, which suggests the impeller may need cleaning - clean as a whistle. The unit does have nice mass for it's secondary use as a very expensive doorstop after it fails.
