This review is for Milwaukee 47-piece, 1/2-inch drive, anti-roll, wrench-ready, SAE and metric socket set, product 48-22-9010. This set comes with a tough plastic case with removable storage tray that fits nicely into my rolling steel tool cabinet. The tray itself is clearly marked with all of the socket sizes. I have a strong preference for six-point over 12-point sockets after many years of handyman experience with equipment repairs, this set filling that bill. A most desirable feature is the fact that all of the sockets have four flat sides to resist rolling, also accepting use of an open-end wrench to boost. The sockets are deeply engraved with their sizes so that they show regardless of dirt and grease. The extensions are knurled for a bit of extra boost capability. Most everything about this six-point socket set exudes quality. This set is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. For replacements, all one needs to do is send an email with part identification (every part is etched with the product number), photo of the part needing replacement plus name and address or to call 1-800-SAWDUST. This is a very welcome addition to my most useful tools collection.

The Milwaukee 1/2 in. Drive SAE/Metric Ratchet and Socket Mechanics 47-Piece Tool Set is a quality made product. I really like that each socket is made with four flat sides to prevent rolling and can also be used with the ratchet or a wrench. I have had this tool set for a week and have already used it to remove my riding mower blades to have sharpen. I also was able to use the ratchet and sockets to tighten the engine bolts. This tool set is also going to come in handy to work on my truck when repairs are needed. I'm really pleased with this product; it definitely met my expectations.

An Excellent Ratchet and Socket Set

I have had this set for quite a awhile but I finally got to put them to the test and they performed flawlessly. Everything worked as advertised and the fine tooth ratchet was a joy to use in tight spaces. This set is durable and is of the highest quality and I would not hesitate to recommend to others. It's a complete set that will do 90 percent of the work one would typically need to do and the squared off sockets are so intuitive! I can rest assured they're not going to roll away from me if I have to switch sockets on the fly, and having the assurance that I can add a bit more leverage by using a wrench over the squared off area is just another bonus! I will be buying more of these in different sizes especially those packaged in the PACKOUT containers! Best ever made

I broke an impact 17mm socket 1/2 inch drive socket. Only thing I had left was this tool set. Everyone though I was going to break the Ratchet or socket. Slip an 4 feet cheater bar over the ratchet and turn. NOTHING flex or bent. All I heard was the net coming loose.

Excellent set, good build quality and features.

This is a quality set. Quality wise, it's on par with my older craftsman stuff. Probably better than the newer ones. The fine steps on the ratchet are great for keeping a tight, narrow dead zone. The wrench flats on the sockets are an excellent addition too. And, lifetime warranty.

Great case and tray

Im an industrial mechanic that works on a lot of finesse equipment. I really like these sockets and the case because they wont mix up when the case is thrown around like the guys with the Dewalt sets, blueprint or snap on. Everything in the case stays alexactly where it is. The removable tray feels high quality and is thick, I bought a second set to put in a toolbox drawer at home. All in all this is the best bang for your buck. Havent broke a socket yet, and the ratchet is about 2-3 sets down from a snap on, and 20 steps up from everything else. I use the ratchet more than my snap ons at this point due to the perfect length.

I would consider buying it if I needed another set

This socket set was purchased for a birthday gift for my grandson. I have not used it but looked it over and liked the fact that the sockets are square and not round. I thought that was a great way to desi.gn them.

Milwaukee Tool Truck Socket Set

Tool truck quality at a non-tool truck price. Square sockets are great, use them with box or adjustable wrenches. I had to use mine with vise grips & a small towel (didnt want to mark up my sockets on the 1st use!), I was in a pinch & didnt have other tools. Ratchet w/socket on one side and vise grips & socket on the other to break loose a rusted bolt & nut on a chain I ran into. Socket set worked great. Looks good & feels great in hand.

Milwaukee has become my new best friend. There hand tools are better than any I have every used. I really did not want to spend this much for a new socket set. I now wish I would have purchased them much sooner. Easy to ready size labels for my old eyes. Long sockets don't roll away and have place to add wrench for extra torque. I would not expect these to last longer or hold up better than lower priced name brand sockets, but the added touches Milwaukee put into the design makes these special.

Recently I grabbed both this and the 1/4 set. This set is really nicely made with clearly marked sockets and a very smoothly operating ratchet. The finish and manufacturing quality of all the pieces is exceptional as well. So far I've also used these with the Milwaukee M12 Fuel ratchet and popping off and swapping things between it and the manual ratchet was definitely made nicer by being able to set things down and not have them roll around thanks to the square sided shape of the sockets. One of the great things about this set is the case. Adam Savage's YT channel actually turned me on to these. The case is not your typical junky blow molded thing.
