I feel a 1 star is about 3/4 more then its worth. I have had junk since I received it. Loose, wobbles, while cranking up it drops down a couple teeth every rotation right out of the box. I have disassembled and sure enough teeth missing on the crank handle. When putting on my laser 360, it feels like its going to collapse under the weight of the laser. VERY DISSAPOINTED in the quality of this. Something you would expect from a big box stores "name" brand tools....JUNK

Just disappointed and annoyed with my overall experience with the tripod. The First problem was that base where laser attaches to was loose and could not tighten up to keep my laser steady, second issue was when I went to set my laser back up after lunch the handle to raise the laser stripped out and next thing you know I have a bunch of small plastic pieces on the floor and the handle just spinning with no raising or lowering. so I guess back to old reliable Bosch tripod. Boo…

I have a camera tripod that would have worked just fine for my laser, I purchased this tripod only because it was from Milwaukee and I trust that name to be jobsite tough. I am really disappointed in this purchase. This item is flimsy and as a result it is hard to use to make precision adjustments. I would return this if I still had the box.

SUPER wobbly. Was excited to purchase this product as an addition to my m12 laser product, but right out of the box was sorely disappointed with the quality of the tripod. The hand crank is cheap plastic, and the leg clamps feel like they barely clamp down. Compared to my bosses bosch, it does not stack up. And i do not like Bosch. Also does not compared to my sister's cheap 50$ amazon camera tripod. You can do better milwaukee.

Needs improvement!

Milwaukee's 72" laser level tripod is ideal for setting the horizontal height of your laser level up to 72" and as low as 28", helping to get your laser level off of the ground. At your lowest height, you can make precision adjustments up to 15". The tripod is made of aluminum making it very light weight with a 1/4" to 20" pan-tilt head. All adjustments are done using different knows that turn to loosen or tighten. The overall height is adjustable using telescoping legs and an on board level helps to make sure the tripod is as level as possible.I would have to agree with many of the reviews that I have read regarding this tripod is that it is flimsy. I feel like the tightening mechanisms and the precision height adjusting crank needs to be made of better quality materials. Because this tripod is being used to support my Milwaukee M12 3 plane level, which is not cheap, I need to feel comfortable mounting my laser level to this tripod, which at times I do not feel comfortable. The tripod is light in weight, but because I am mounting such an expensive tool to the tripod, even if the tripod weighed twice as much, it would not really make a difference for me. Even if it weighed 10 lbs, I would prefer that over how light it actually is. Compared to my table saw or miter saw or rotary hammer, a tripod of that weight would still be nothing. Having said all that, I have always been on the extremely careful side of using and taking care of my tools, I get that sometimes this is impossible given the nature of the conditions that we work in. I have not had issues with the crank adjustment or tightening mechanism failing after 6 months of use, but I still feel like the mechanisms should be made of better quality materials. I give this tripod 2 stars because I have been able to use it regularly without mishaps, but I took away 3 starts because of the quality of the build. I own everything Milwaukee and this is not the quality that I expect out of all my Milwaukee tools.

Not Impressed
28 January 2022

I'm a Milwaukee nut. Everything I own is Red. I was so excited when Milwaukee launched the tripod. I have the 3 plane M12 laser and I use it daily for layout. The issue with this tripod is the main mount. It is so incredibly flimsy it almost feels like it's going to break. Mounting a $650 laser to this tripod is nerve wracking. This is the first time I have been disappointed with anything Milwaukee sells and I hope they will improve the design.

Not the proudest moment Milwaukee

Really Milwaukee!!!!! I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for but this time you guys definitely let me down! The quality of the tripod is just plain embarrassing and I can’t believe you let this actually hit the shelves with the Milwaukee name on it.I’m actually worried that your quality standard may start declining if this is what your quality control is letting pass.I do love my Milwaukee tools but this tripod just just got beaten by a cheap selfie stick tripod that was of Amazon for $22.Please reinsure your loyal customers that this was a one off and that your not going to start sacrificing quality to make it a little more profitable .I would be happy to test your tools in real world so this doesn’t happen again

Not what i thought
9 March 2022

Although it does reach the required height for being atleast usefull, all the clamps and the peak head, the panohead and the handle are all plastic. Not made for outside use. A gentle breeze would send this thing into orbit and the legs look like theyre gonna buckle, i havnt even put anything on it yet. Thought milwaukee would make a better product. Othe tripods in same categories are much better.

After getting the best triple green beam laser that Milwaukee sells I was fooled into buying this piece of debris. Seriously this is a rip off on a breathtaking level complete with all of the features and eye candy we all love but don't be fooled this is a way overpriced worthless piece of China plastic junk masquerading as a tool worthy of the recent Milwaukee upgrades on all their tools. It is amazingly WOBBLY AND SHAKY, it is very flimsily built (all plastic) crank elevation height (not the legs) will go right down with no assistance once the tool is mounted if the lock knob is not securely tightened. I could go on and on but just know that its the same old BS which is that it is a great looking item if only it had a little quality built in. I could go on and on but just know that its the same old BS which is that it is a great looking item if only it had a little quality built in. I would pay double if only it had some quality! I for one rfrom this point forward refuse to put my gorgeous $600 green 3 beam laser on it ever again. I guess I'll have to go to a pro camera shop to get what I want . Again understand this item is perfectly thought out and designed if made with quality components it would be the bombshell I had hoped it was but alas China strikes again with plastic trash. Don't be fooled by this stand, as the only thing missing at the end of the manufacturing/assembly line was a large green or blue dumpster for all the pieces to land in the moment they were assembled and completed for the unsuspecting market still riding on the relatively new shake up quality wave at Milwaukee tool company. Gonna try to get my money back but don't believe I will because I don't have the box anymore...Do not buy this stand unless of course you like paying a lot of money for cheap trash....nuff said!!!

The tripod works very well and I’m very happy with my purchase. If I could ask the milwaukee to make another “tripod” would be amazing. I have thought the brand could have another laser support with no legs, a retractable one, with 3 meters getting stucked between the floor and the ceiling either roof so we could get higher and lower than the tripod. Just a suggestion.
