As always, this is a great tool ! Milwaukee still makes excellent hand tools.Another reviewer erroneously left a one star review, but it was a review of the SELLER and not the product, so it’s quite unfair of them.

Used two pairs of these to aid with downpipe removal & installation on a Subaru. Used as helpers to hold the flanges together at midpipe section as I move about under the vehicle loosening fasteners. Also another plus was the ability to test fit newer nuts and bolts while flanges held tight in perfect alignment. Hard to accomplish that while propping up with homemade props or jack stands. And that's with just one of many usages of locking pliers.Have 8 pairs. Can never have too many.

I had lost my original "ViseGrip" tool of the same size. It had been a mainstay of my compact tool bag. This tool filled the gap and even more. I was able to solve a problem that I don't think the older tool could have handled. However, this tool is 40% wider and thus a little less useful in some cases.
All steel construction makes for a very nice and sturdy trustworthy vice grips. The hole at the end of the clamping tension threaded bolt makes for an optional extra pressure adjustment even after the grips are locked in place, using a nice thick screwdriver or even a random piece of cylindrical metal to be used as a "T" handle. The unique style of the curved jaws adds even more options to grip onto a variety of odd shaped things with almost a pipe wrench style of teeth on the jaws.
Very strong plier that I replaced my old plier, Kobalt which does not have strong bite and release lever as my new plier! Bonus: it would able to hold up on the pegboard's hook without any loose release lever which my old plier couldn't able to secured the release lever.
The Milwaukee 7 in MaxBite Curved Jaw Locking Pliers with thumb screw control provide quick, convenient setup for holding items for fabrication. The hardened, curved jaws allow use of a smaller plier set because the tool can grip round or odd shapes easily. I like the convenient shape of the thumb screw because it allows more torque when setting the pliers grip. The hole in the adjustment screw provides a leverage point for fine adjustments to the grip using a #2 Philips screwdriver shank. I combined the 7 inch MaxBite pliers with a 10 inch set to help me wire-weld hanger hooks and wall angles to a ¾ inch bar for the workshop. I’m going to get another set of Milwaukee 48-22-3607 curved jaw locking pliers for my truck tool box so I will always have a pair with me.
These pliers perform just like any other locking plier. The hole in the thumbscrew for adjusting the pliers is a simple, but handy touch. It allows them to be hung from a pegboard, and it works well for tightening. The jaws are curved, but they don't fit perfectly around everything. I was generally able to get three of the four flat sides to touch pipes, which provided quite a bit of force. The teeth are sharp and the pliers work well.
The teeth on these thing will grip anything and everything that fits. Nice sharp biting edges to eliminate slippage. The tension adjustor is a little small and can be difficult to adjust if wet but doesn't take away from the overall function for me. Would prefer a knurled knob instead of the plastic. So far the quality has been impressive. Since I don't use these everyday, they should last a lifetime.
I've always had a problem getting a really tight grip on something that I need to loosen. These Maxbite Jaw Locking pliers have overcome that problem by allowing you to use a screw driver or another tool like that to turn the locking mechanism so that they get tighter at the time you need it most, especially after you have already stripped the edges off a bolt or nut because you couldn't get the torque you needed. They are made from forged alloy steel so they are incredibly strong. The release makes it fast and easy and can be done with just a few fingers.
