I bought this for the pool area over Christmas. Very stylish to look at, loved the fact that you can position and swivel umbrella to get better shade. I found that the up and down positions were easy to maneuver however it was very hard to swivel, not sure if it was faulty. Used it twice, not safe in the slightest breeze. The pole bent in a slight breeze and fell, even with heavy weights attached to the base. Possibly need a stronger frame and possibly larger cross bars for the weight to sit on without it falling over in a breeze. Very dangerous with kids around. Thankfully Bunnings refunded.

We bought two of these prior to Christmas. We were initially very happy with them as they looked wonderful and shaded a big area over the pool. However the rope in one broke after a month of use. Because the product is “suspended”, the other one has the same design fault. Bunnings in fairness, gave us a refund on this one. We believe that we bought them as a pair and feel that they should either seek to find us a replacement or accept the other one back for refund too, such that we could get a matching pair.

Probably would prefer a different colour but it was urgently needed prior to Xmas so took available.Doing a good job providing shade. Fairly easy to assemble - needed 2 people. Bought water weights separately. seem ok.

This umbrella is quite sturdy considering the very reasonable price and in decent breezes (not when windy but then even very expensive umbrellas say to collapse when windy). The cantilever function (using study handle) and rotation function (using foot release) are easy to use and allow the umbrella to be positioned as needed depending on the sun position - including some shade over pool section in the middle of the day and almost vertical to block western sun. Installation of the umbrella is straightforward using the instructions. We initially used pavers to weight the base which worked ok. Bought this umbrella to help shade our pool. It is a great product. Easy to install and operate. One point I want to make - just be aware that there are two different sized screws for the bottom plate. If you put the wrong screws in the umbrella won’t rotate. Otherwise, very happy with purchase for the price.
Bought 4 years ago and used every day throughout 4 summers and stored in its cover during winter. Purchased water fillable base and is very sturdy. Unfortunately we had it open during last weeks strong windy weather (gale cyclone force gusts that didn’t start until late at night) brolley was still up and it blew into the pool and fairly damaged. We’re buying this exact one again and will be bring it down during night
Purchase just before Christmas 2021 - suits our purpose perfectly and looks great. We don’t generally purchase cheap products and are always happy to spend money on quality - this item was very fair in price for what we received. Appears to be of a high quality and we envisage that it will last for quite a long time. Very happy with the purchase.
I've had this for almost 2 years. You will definitely need a heavy base for this or it will fall over.It is easy to use however the stitching on the corners is poor and mine ripped apart - I think it never fit properly to begin with and there was too much tension on the fabric on that side.It is not suitable in windy conditions, so be prepared to keep it down and only pop it up when you're using it.I'm really disappointed in the quality of the stitching because it's going to be very hard to fix.
I have had this umbrella for 2 years and have put it up 3 times. Fine when up, however does sway a fair bit when a very light gush of wind comes through. What has disappointed me the most is that over the past 2 years I have had it covered and wrapped up neatly when not in use...however I continued to find parts of the umbrella in the ground. (Top cap of the umbrella, screws, bolts). I went to put it up the other day and couldn’t even push the cantilever up because the bolts has fallen out of the side arm of the umbrella. This is a ridiculous and disappointing outcome for such an expensive product. If my calculations are correct...this cost me $133 for 3 occasions...doesn’t really seem worth it when the product literally falls apart on your patio...I now need to ... MoreI have had this umbrella for 2 years and have put it up 3 times. They should use these Umbrellas for the next Americas Cup Defence. Design fault seems to be there is no way for even the slightest breeze to escape the canopy thereby creating the perfect Sail. Also the polyester canopy acts as a heat transfer to the unfortunate sitting below it.I have utilised the same weights we had for our Wellington based umbrellas for this one to be used in Taupo. Put up five times to have tumbled down on three. On each occasion just missing the grand kids.A shame as the mechanics of the product do seem robust however off to the dump with it now!
