I got this game expecting it to be boring or a easy play. Turns out it’s much more! Though the story is short, it has so much replay ability to it. There’s all kinds of weapons and armors to collect, and more than one difficulty. They also have recently released Ancient hunts, which are a bit more challenging and offer all new items and things to collect. Honestly, one of the best games I have bought.

I love minecraft dungeons. Its my all time favorite game. Some levels are a little challenging on apocalypse mode but overall its so much fun to play. I love searching for the secrets and the chests. The new tower is a little hard but still fun overall. I love the unique items you can collect and now gift to friends. I have to say if you've never played this before I insist that you try it. I might be an adult but this game is awesome.

Minecraft Dungeons was a fun game that I enjoyed playing. Although I admire the charm it has and the time and attention they put into creating, there are certain things I would like to have modified or changed with this game. The first is that the nine levels are far too short. Only spending 30 minutes on a task instead of a couple of hours isn't the best deal for a $20 game, and if you have a fully equipped build like I have, you can finish an objective in half the time. Furthermore, this game requires more diversity and depth. Each level, as well as each level's sub-levels, include more puzzles to solve.

Great Game

There is no building in this game! It is very important to understand that so either you can stay away (if you are looking for a traditional Minecraft game) or snatch up a copy (if you are looking for a fighting game with a Minecraft theme). My son tells me this is “the cool version” because it has more levels and costumes (I think…?) than the regular version of Minecraft Dungeons. He loves it.

I like it

For my 7 going on 8 son's birthday. He thought well, can you get me the pc version instead? I'm like what? I usually buy kids toys for me and they just benefit. I thought ok. We did try this xbox version and (great for me, it's not split screen I'm old) they loved it. He plays with his younger brother who is going to be 6 also this month. Well it gets worse. The next few days The oldest didn't want to play and the youngest wants to play with him on roblox and I got stuck trying to level up myself. I like the game I don't really have much time to play and it's easy to level up.

Laura's review of Minecraft Dungeons

Pros: My child loved the game. It's alot different to the basic minecraft game, you're given challenges to complete in many different worlds. You can equipt pets to help you battle which most are included in game. With hero's edition you get an extra map, pet, skin and ect. Since playing minecraft, my child has learnt so much elements/materials and how to make said items. Would definitely recommend. Cons: Explain either in game or on case that there is no need to download extras/DLC packs, it will automatically be downloaded with said game.

My son was wanting this game for Christmas and I wasn't able to find the physical copy in any stores. Bestbuy saved us as usual with the amazing collections. Easy ordering process and pickup on the same day. My son enjoyed playing the game on Christmas day. Appropriate for kids age 10 and above.

Not what I expected from a Minecraft game

My four-year old picked this game out, thinking it was a Lego game! She was able to move around and have some fun toward the beginning, but as the game progressed and became more challenging, she was content to watch and comment. The game is surprisingly fun to play. It’s not terribly complicated, although there are some confusing moments when trying to manage inventory and navigate the map for missions. Overall, I’m very impressed and happy my little one enjoys the game!

The Overworld Needs a Hero!

Just started playing, but it is already a fantastic game! It's a little bit more difficult than I was imagining but in my case that's always a plus! They capture the feel of the Minecraft enemies like the creeper and Enderman perfectly! And it's amazing that it is a multiplayer game, when I bought it I had no idea! My only issues with this game, 1. I wish there was a character customization option. They give you like 30 characters to choose from, but I wish you could make your characters from scratch, like adjustable facial features and such. 2. When you are playing the game it runs very smoothly, especially for a switch game, but it does have a bit of a wait time while loading between areas. Like going back to camp and such. Waste of time and money

This game is just poorly mediocre. Definitely not a "real" Minecraft game- there is no building or personal creativity and freedom in this game. It's just an overhead adventure game based on "quests" and "missions". The concept for the game is ok, but the lack of creative freedom Minecraft is known for is what brings it down. So glad I didn't pay the extra $10 for the bonus content version as this game isn't really worth the $19.99 plus tax that I paid for it. I shouldn't have expected this game to be much after the Minecraft Story Mode flop. Thank God, I still have the real, original Minecraft to fall back on as well as Terraria and Starbound.
